A curve ball was thrown my way ... as I was trying to find answers to a long-term, multi-month illness. Various tests came back as well as the panel of blood work. Dr. Lathia, as a result, had a CAT scan with contrast run on me. AShow morend bingo, my large artery to the heart which carries about 75% of the blood flow, was over 90% clogged. So while doing the test he inserted a catheter and then the stent was put in place. I survived having to be called a Widowmaker. I am doing quite well now as I get used to some of my meds and protocol. Now Dr. Lathia is my new hero or should I say, my wife's and family's new hero. Doc is a quiet man with lots of internal love and care for his patience. We are fortunate to have him as a doctor and 'physician Supreme' in this part of the vineyard. He and his staff do wonders!
The receptionist was efficient and caring. I was called back by Dr. Assistant at my appointed time. She was also very efficient and caring. He knew who I was and when I mentioned a friend I had referred even though I didn't mention a name he knew by my description of problem exactly who it was. He was very careful not to mention name. I thought that was awesome. Most people would have said "yes that's _ _ _. He went over my case very carefully and was happy with how I'm doing. I recommended this Doctor to a friend already and recommend it to you.

After completing his medical education at D Y Patil University School of Medicine in Navi Mumbai, India, Dr. Lathia relocated to the United States for a research experience at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. During this experience, Dr. Lathia worked with a team of mathematicians, chemists, chemical engineers, and critical care medicine attendings who were trying to make a control formula for a filtration device that removes harmful inflammatory markers during sepsis.
He then continued his medical training, completing his internal medicine residency at Louisiana State University in Lafayette, Louisiana. He went on to do his fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
Throughout his fellowship training, Dr. Lathia continued to participate in research studies and has published or presented many of these studies to his peers.
Dr. Lathia is committed to the well-being of the community he serves. He was a team leader during the devastating earthquake in Gujarat, India, in 2003 and volunteered at the Heymann Shelter Home in Lafayette during Hurricane Gustav in 2008. Dr. Lathia also volunteered at the Lafayette Parish Community Clinic in Lafayette during his internal medicine residency.

Dr. Lathia is a good doctor, but seems there is always at least a 45 minute wait to see him. Also the waiting room was too hot.

Dr. Lathia is a very caring and listened to my concerns. My only complaint was my wait time which was over an hour past my appointment. My suggestion is to get an early morning appointment, so you won’t be backed up . Other than that the Doctor was awesome!
Dr.Lathia is very knowledgeable. He explains your treatment thoroughly so that you can easily understand what each medication or procedure is going to achieve. I encourage any one with Cardiovascular issues to go visit with Dr Lathia.

Very Disappointing you guy's took my money and my insurance every time and never one time was I told of any test results, and to come in yesterday and put in a room while people behind me received service before me.again my money was taken like I was important to but didn't feel that way .80 dollar co pay and you charged my insurance 171,00 for nothing, I sat in that room over 30 minutes, never again hopefully I have no life threatening problems because never was I told .service is bad and I along with my insurance provider paid every time not again and I will tell my referral DR

Always smiling and take good care of me
I'm met Dr. Lathia in May of 2023. I had been complaining for a year and a half about a dry cough I couldn't get rid of. While waiting for pulmonology results I was sent to you by my primary care doctor, and I had a scan of my heart, while waiting. Via this test it was found I had a 90 to 95% blockage in my main artery to my heart and needed to have a stent to implanted. The doctor did insert a stent and the rest is history. No problems, no complaints, and a new journey with now answered. I am 8 months out and I feel wonderful. A miracle worker!

We. Really do like Dr Lathia. He treated me after a TIA and goes above and beyond care to help make you better. He is patient to answer all my questions and takes sufficient time with me. He is very proactive.
Dr. Lathia has been very responsive in treating the very different cardiac needs of my 92-year old parents. At every visit I observe that the entire staff treats them with cordiality and respect. It is a great relief to me to see they are getting effective care.
