Mrs. Krause is very knowledgeable, attentive and experienced, but she talks so much it's hard for us to talk. Wish she can listen and let us talk & ask questions. Every time I have questions I have to interrupt her because she Show morewon't ask if we have any questions or give us time to ask questions. And she talks so loud that anyone in the same floor can hear my daughter's sensitive medical matter. Sometime I feel like she was shouting at us. Please talk to us in calm tone without shouting and give us time to discuss & ask questions. We are not deaf. To be honest, I miss Dr. Rodgers who had very soothing calming voice and gave us plenty time to explain/discuss/ask questions.
In and out quickly this visit and no wait, which is not always the case. Nurses are consistently outstanding, friendly and kind. Front desk staff can be hit or miss. Last time she was shouting about how the note in the system saidShow more the mom is always late. I had already checked in. I’m sure she was referring to me. Try being a single mom of 2, working all day in Gainesville and picking up both children to make a Woodbridge appointment on time. Waiting for your older son’s late school bus. Seems hypocritical to keep patients waiting for 30 minutes plus but not give them a 10 minute grace period.
Meet Virginia Krause, CNFP
Virginia (Ginny) Krause, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (CFNP) joined Nova Pediatrics in the Summer of 2014. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She has been practicing as an FNP since 2009.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA and Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner from LaSalle University Philadelphia, PA. Virginia is originally from Pennsylvania.
Her clinical interests are in primary care with an emphasis on health promotion and wellness, growth and development of children as well as adolescent teaching. As a Registered Nurse, she worked over 12 years in the CCU working with children with congenital heart defects at St. Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
She relocated to Virginia in September 2010 with her husband and daughter. She has two additional children a son and a daughter in Pennsylvania. Her interest is enjoying time with family and friends, painting, traveling, and being part of her daughter's busy softball schedule.

Virginia Krause, CFNP is an amazing provider. She is friendly and has a warm bedside manner that my children respond to very well. She takes time to talk directly with parent and child, and I never feel rushed. She goes above and beyond with the quality of care she provided to her patients. I especially appreciate how she checks in with the parents to see what all is going on in our lives to approach medicine more holistically. She is also sensitive to communicating safe touch to my kids during their exams and I know we are in good hands! Highly recommend.
