I’ve been a runner most of my life and took my feet for granted. I developed plantar warts on the bottoms of my feet, which made it painful to walk. Dr. Butler is my first experience with a podiatrist. He not only put me at ease, Show morebut explained the condition and then treated me with minor scraping and applied salicylic acid. The doctor answered all of my questions, addressed my concerns about reoccurrence and put me at ease. Dr. Murray is a kind, knowledgeable and compassionate person who happens to be a doctor. I’m glad he’s my doctor. I appreciate him and his staff. Thank you for excellent care.

Murray Butler, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist at Mid-South Foot & Ankle Specialists in Memphis, Tennessee. He sees patients at the East Memphis office and specializes in pediatric and adult flatfoot reconstruction, sports injuries, complex deformity correction, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Butler’s hometown is Huntingdon, Tennessee. He completed his undergraduate degree at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee. He earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Butler completed his residency program in podiatric medicine and surgery at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He participates in continuing education to maintain his medical credentials and is board-certified in foot surgery and rearfoot/ankle reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

I was very pleased to meet Dr. Butler. Had to wait a while but when he came into the room, it was like he had all day to help me and my husband. He is scheduling me for surgery to fix the problem I am having with a toe on my left foot that the Baptist hospital xrayed and said was not broken. After viewing the xrays taken at his office, Dr. Butler said that it was in fact broken and what he proposed to do to fix it. My husband was impressed with him and intends to see him about an ankle problem that he is having. It was time we'll spent and I know Dr. Butler will help me with the horrible pain that I have been in since the injury with my toe.
Dr. M. Butler is a down to earth guy! He comfort my fears of my procedure and explained to me everything that would take place. Three years later I am back facing other issues, but I feel safe with Dr. M. Butler because he shows me that he care for me as his patient.
Dr butler performed minor surgery on my foot several years ago. When I experienced a recent problem, he was my go-to guy. New location is great.
