Excellent staff and Dr. Kahn has saved my life multiple of times as Ive become a ticking time bomb. I had a rough life and ended up having a heart attack in 2015 where I met Dr. Kahn at Tomball hospital which is now called HCA TomShow moreball hospital. He gives you all his time to explain every detail of the procedure you either had or are going to have. NP Alysha is also amazing and gets really personal in your case and procedures , they are like Batman and Robin. My best Doctor and Staff . Totally Recommend.
Wasn’t too sure what to expect because I was a little freaked out having to see a cardiologist! I had a lung ct scan and was told my lungs were great but there was severe atherosclerosis. Dr. Khan made me feel so comfortable and aShow moret ease. He ordered 2 tests to see what’s going on and then said we’ll come up with a plan when the results come in. Whew!! BIG sigh of relief! He was fantastic!
Waqar Khan, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, is board-certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Khan is the Founder and the President of Lone Star Heart and Vascular Center in Tomball, Texas. He has built and run one of the most respected cardiology practices in suburban Houston, which has thrived for over 20 years. Dr. Khan performs advanced cardiac and vascular procedures at some of the area's best hospitals in Spring and Tomball.
Dr. Khan holds a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston. He graduated from King Edward Medical College in Pakistan. His internship training was at St. Louis University Medical Center, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston. Upon completing his fellowship in cardiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Dr. Khan completed additional fellowships in Vascular Medicine and Peripheral Vascular Interventions at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center-Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and the Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Louisiana respectively. He is Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Among his numerous awards and honors, Dr. Khan has been named one of Houston Top Docs every year by H Texas Magazine and Texas Monthly for several consecutive years. He recently published a best seller book titled "Be Heart Smart - Understand, Treat and Prevent Coronary Heart Disease" which is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many other retailers. Copies are also available at Dr. Khan's office. He is proud to lend his extensive experience in peripheral vascular interventions, coronary angioplasty, carotid artery angioplasty, and stents to help his patients.

I always have a good experience at the clinic with both Dr. Kahn and Alyssa. I never feel rushed and they listen to my concerns and answer my questions. I am glad to be a patient of such professional people looking after me.
