Dr Tarasov is very knowledgeable and gifted in his surgical profession. I suffered for 30 years and have seen many physicians and specialists previously which included many painful exams, diagnosis and unhelpful treatments. Right Show morefrom the very first exam with Dr Tarasov he already knew what procedure would be best for me just by visually examining me and taking the extra time to listen to my full history. Eugene Tarasov, DO, Ph.D., is a board-eligible general surgeon who has been treating patients throughout the greater Chicago area for eight years. Dr. Tarasov currently sees patients in Chicago Surgical Clinic in Arlington Heights, Illinois. After serving as a paramedic for St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, in 2001, Dr. Tarasov graduated from Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. He later earned a Master of Science degree in chemistry from the same prestigious university. Passionate about education, Dr. Tarasov pursued his Ph.D. degree at his alma mater, graduating in 2007.
With a strong desire to work with patients and help improve their health, Dr. Tarasov enrolled in Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. He later graduated in 2011 with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, before completing a general surgery residency at Franciscan St. James in Olympia Fields, Illinois. Dr. Tarasov was so well regarded during his surgical training that he earned Chief Surgery Resident award in 2015.
