He is kind, he is patient, and he never rushes your visit. When you leave there you totally understand your foot issue and his treatment plan. I have seen many podiatrists regarding my issue and none of them were able to help me. He is the first doctor that actually took time to listen to all of my concerns. I didn't leave there with a bottle of pills or injections in my feet. Between his personalized Physical Therapy plan for me and modifications to my shoes I have already experienced 50% Improvement in my feet, and believe me that's a lot!! He made me realize feet do not heal overnight, but with some patience and the right program they can and will heal in time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr Husain for treating me like a family member. I will always be grateful to you, Cindy, Cin, and Dana for all of the kindnesses you have shown me. Dr.Husain has consulted with me twice. Once at my initial visit to explain that I need physical therapy for my low back. Again today I went i went to see him one last time . My problems are from my back so I need to go back to cliShow morenic. Dr.Husain is smart, honest & direct. I like that he’s willing to to consult & guide me as I needed to get ball rolling to manage symptoms. Even though my situation calls for a completely different course of action. Excellent doctor! I would refer anyone to him even tho he is unable to further assist me.
Zeeshan Husain, DPM, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon at Great Lakes Foot and Ankle Institute located in Macomb, Rochester, Chesterfield, Clinton Township, Fort Gratiot, East China Township, and Shelby Township, Michigan. His expertise is in foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, and diabetic limb salvage and wound care.
Dr. Husain earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He then continued his postgraduate medical training at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago. He completed a three-year surgical residency at Beaumont Hospital, Wayne in Wayne, Michigan, as well as advanced training in Verona, Italy.
Dr. Husain is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot and rearfoot reconstruction and ankle surgery, and he’s also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. He is President-Elect of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association.
He is very active in various leadership roles within the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He routinely speaks in local and national conferences and has numerous publications in journals and textbooks.
