Renae is an ANCC board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with an additional board-certification as a family nurse practitioner.
She is passionate about providing empathetic, individualized care to her patients.
Utilizing her background in both family and psychiatric health, she approaches her patients in a compassionate and holistic manner.
She encourages open discussion with patients to determine their needs and goals for treatment, and she incorporates each patient in their treatment plan to assist them in achieving healthier, balanced lives.
She provides mental health services to individuals ages six and above and treats Anxiety Disorders, Major Depressive Disorder, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorders, among others. Being a part of the community, she also specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and strives to provide a welcoming, non-judgmental environment for all who seek assistance with their mental health.
I am here to support you. I am an ANCC board-certified psychiatric mental health Nurse practitioner and an adult-gerontology Nurse practitioner. She graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Maryville University.
I endeavor to provide individualized, patient-centered and for each individual’s mental health goals as well as help them achieve a full life while incorporating cultural awareness in each individualized care and plan.
My dual certification allows me to attend to each patient utilizing a holistic approach. She provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management with particular attention to individual needs, including each patient’s personal history, specific context, stressful or traumatic life experiences or circumstances, and particular concerns about or fears of medications. She approaches each patient with patience, warmth, understanding, and helpful explanations that facilitate treatment.
Ingrid Suazo, DrHA, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She completed her master’s degree in nursing at West Coast University in California. For her post-graduate studies, Ingrid pursued a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. She completed her doctorate in healthcare administration at the Virginia University of Lynchburg. Ingrid has extensive experience working with severe mental health conditions.
My core approach to care begins with the unique story each patient needs to tell. When you arrive there is a comfortable waiting room with plants and music playing. Treatment with me is based on a collaborative effort between me and my patients. I begin each relationship with a comprehensive two hour psychiatric evaluation, that includes a full medical history as well. I also focus on the importance of nutrition and healthy eating during that evaluation. At the end of the consultation, there is open discussion about treatment options. If a patient has an existing therapist, a release form is signed so there can be ongoing confidential communication between providers. At all times patient confidentiality is held sacred and absolutely necessary for successful treatment. During my time in practice I have always been a staunch advocate for my patients, particularly in the area of insurance denials. I am equally passionate about patient education.
