Hi, my name is Dr. Lannie Thomas, and I am a board-certified family psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 25 years of experience in behavioral health. I started my healthcare career in South Florida in 1993 as a practical nurse. As the field of nursing and technology evolved, my desire to serve my community through healthcare also grew. I earned a Bachelor of Nursing from AdventHealth University in 2010, my master’s degree as an advanced nurse practitioner from Walden University in 2019, and my DNP (doctorate in nursing practice) from Chatham University in 2020. Dr. Alshareef graduated medical school in 2003, ranking First in his class at UCE School of Medicine. He achieved board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine 2009-2019, and is currently board certified by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
He joined Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, NYU in New York, where he finished his Internal Medicine residency in 2008, after which he worked as a hospitalist for 4 years. He later joined the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland- Ohio, one of the top hospitals in the US, and completed his Neurology specialty training in 2014.
Dr. Alshareef also holds a Masters Degree in Health Care Management, and serves as a medical director in multiple clinical settings, he has staff privileges at multiple medical centers in the north Dallas area.
