He was born and raised in Ecuador and completed his medical training in his home country, where his interest and commitment to helping diverse populations began. He complemented his studies with a research fellowship through the international research initiative and the PAIN group at Boston Children's Hospital, studying the impact of TBI in children, and was the author of a peer reviewed paper related to this topic.

Sokhira Yang is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in the mental health field as well as an advocate for mental health and overall wellness. Sokhira’s areas of interest include ADHD, PTSD, and depression. Sokhira began her nursing career as a corrections nurse, and saw the importance of mental health in underserved populations.
Being a proud daughter of survivors of the Khmer Rouge genocide and also, as a single mother, she is committed to empowering her patients to be able to succeed in all aspects of their lives. Sokhira will be obtaining her doctorate in nursing to be able to make an even greater impact on her patient’s health and wellbeing.
Darya Pokoevaya is a certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She provides psychotherapy and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health conditions. She has a special affinity for working with clients who suffer from anxiety and trauma-related conditions. She is fully trained in EMDR, IFS Level 1, and have training in AEDP and ISTDP, which are evidence based therapies for attachment trauma. Darya completed an adult psychoanalytic psychotherapy fellowship at Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis (MIP) and BPSI. As therapist and prescriber, she tries to pave the way for her clients to tell their stories and feel truly understood. She strives to provide a safe environment that allows for self-expression.
Jeffrey Lucero, PMHNP is the owner of Thoughtful Psychiatry. Since becoming a Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2014 he has completed 7 years of advanced post-graduate training. This includes the VA Nurse Practioner Residency (2014-2015), Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis Post Graduate Fellowship (2015-2016), Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute Advanced Training Program (2017-Present), Massachusetts Institute of Psychoanalysis Child fellowship (2019-2020), Psychodynamic Couple and Family Institute of New England Fellowship (2020-2021). Jeffrey also has extensive training in the following psychotherapies: Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), Transference Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), and Intensive Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).
