During his time there, he was selected for the prestigious Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) Fellowship, where he gained additional clinical and academic training in osteopathic manipulative medicine and holistic patient care.
Following medical school, Dr. Barton completed his neurology residency at HCA HealthONE Swedish Medical Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the same institution, focusing on acute stroke care, stroke prevention, and advanced neuroimaging. I am dual board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. I see clients from age 12 and up. Following completion of his residencies, Dr. Pawar completed Fellowships in Vascular Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania, Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, and Advanced Vascular Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is coming to us from Duke University Medical Center where he served as Stroke Medical Director. He is widely published. He has varied interests and has participated in multiple clinical trials.

Menachem Nagar, MD, is a neurologist with specialized training in vascular neurology. He works closely with patients at The Neurology Institute in Coral Springs and Sunrise, Florida. Dr. Nagar is fluent in English, Yiddish and Arabic.
Dr. Nagar completed medical school at the Technion Faculty of Medicine in Israel and his neurology training – including residency and fellowship in vascular neurology – at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ivan Mikolaenko, MD, is a neurologist who completed medical school in Ukraine. He was a post-doctoral Fellow in Neurology at John’s Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD. He finished his neurology residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Following that, he completed a Neuro Critical Care Fellowship, Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia.
Dr. Mikolaenko is well versed in EMG NCS as well as reading EEG’s. He’s an experienced and diligent physician who’s proficient in many neurological disorders.
He has practiced for many years in New York and looks forward to serving the South Florida community.
Born and raised in Moca, Puerto Rico, Dr. Cordero attended college at The University of Puerto Rico, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and Science. He continued his medical studies at Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico where he received a Doctorate in Medicine.
Dr. Cordero participated in research studies at Rutgers University in New Jersey and at Columbia University’s New York State Psychiatric Institute. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Cordero- Torres has significant acute inpatient and office experience – specializing in treating adults with co-occurring disorders, and addiction medicine. He is Suboxone certified for opiate addiction and is passionate about helping patients live their life to the fullest.

Dr. Sandeep Mendiratta completed a combined BS/MD accelerated program at Northeast Ohio Medical University. From there, he went on to be trained at the University of Florida and subsequently became a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Mendiratta has significant clinical inpatient and office experience with adults, adolescent and children across different disciplines of psychiatry, neuropsychiatry and addiction medicine. I’ve always been interested in people and their individual stories. This curiosity coupled with my love of science made my career choice quite easy. I grew up between Cairo, Egypt and New York City. After completing medical school at Ain Shams University in Cairo, I moved to Chicago for my psychiatry residency program at Rosalind Franklin University which was a great launching pad for my career in Psychiatry.
I am a Board Certified adult psychiatrist with varied experiences in both inpatient and outpatient practice. I am especially interested in pharmacologically challenging cases and handling co-morbidities. I am comfortable with the geriatric population and love to provide supportive therapy as well since psychiatry should never only be about the prescription.
I have lived in Florida since 2009 and surrounding by a large extended family with whom I love to spend time and celebrate life.

I attended UMDNJ, New Jersey Medical School where I received my medical degree, completed residency training in General Psychiatry, and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. After graduating, I decided to stay within the same organization working as one of the head psychiatrists for a Partial Hospitalization Program. Aside from treating adults and adolescents I also have experience working with young children who benefited from treatment within a Therapeutic Learning Center.
As I continued to expand my horizons within the field of Psychiatry, my family and I decided to relocate to the Sunshine state. Since my relocation, I have been working within the private sector with children, adolescents, and adult patients.

I am a bilingual Nurse Practitioner who was born in New York and raised in south Florida. I knew from an early age that nursing was a passion of mine. I completed a Master’s of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner specialty, at Florida Atlantic University. I have worked in a variety of settings throughout my nursing career providing quality and evidence-based care to all my patients.
