Rosevelt Nwokeji PMHNP is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner clinically educated in treating patients with mental health diagnoses across the lifespan. Rosevelt earned his Bachelor of science and Master of science degrees in nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, the only degree granting affiliate in the Mass General Brigham system, founded by Massachusetts General Hospital. Prior to the completion of his master’s degree, Rosevelt worked as psychiatric registered nurse in a variety of settings which included working in an adult day program providing healthcare services to adults with developmental disabilities and autism. Rosevelt also spent one year working at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA; in the hospital’s drug, and alcohol abuse detox unit (Proctor 1) providing care to patients with various substance use disorders and assisting them on their path to recovery.

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Rosevelt has been working for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health in an inpatient psychiatric forensic hospital. In this setting he provides a variety of psychiatric services such as the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of the hospital’s patients. He also provides expert testimony for court-authorized guardianship and treatment plans as well as commitment hearings.

Rosevelt’s interest in mental health and healthcare has been shaped by a multitude of experiences and learning opportunities that have taught him the value of compassion, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and fairness. An avid world traveler and reader, Rosevelt grew up on three continents and is multilingual; this multicultural background has helped foster Rosevelt’s dedication to providing culturally competent, holistic, and non-judgmental care to a diverse client population.
