I serve as Chief Medical Officer at Relief Mental Health. I am a board-certified neuropsychiatrist, quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG) diplomat, and an accomplished, executive-level medical administrator.
I am passionate, caring, and dedicated to the study of brain sciences. I draw on my knowledge and experience to find the best solution for each of my patients.
I specialize in the treatment of depression, OCD, and other mental health conditions. Using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in conjunction with state-of-the-art diagnostics, psychedelic therapy (SPRAVATO® esketamine nasal spray or IV ketamine), and other collaborative interventions, I have a track record of outstanding results.
I develop and apply a proprietary method of medication selection, and strongly believe that Deep TMS technology is highly effective in the treatment of psychiatric conditions, especially in cases where traditional methods have failed or proved an inadequate level of relief.
Over the years I have worked to provide compassionate psychiatric care to children and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My goal is to provide patient care from a holistic perspective which incorporates a persons cultural, spiritual and mental health needs into their care. I strive to help people live a life that aligns with their values and beliefs, and helps them to improve their mental health and overall well-being. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet and am actively involved in organizations and activities that allow me to stay on top of current mental health research and available treatments.

Dr. Ellis’ philosophy of patient care is based on establishing a collaborative, therapeutic relationship with the patient that is founded on effective communication and honesty. “I believe the roots of a patient’s current symptoms are often found in the past. In order to access the past you have to develop an honest and trusting therapeutic relationship with the patient in the present moment,” she says. “It is important, as a provider, to employ empathic listening and to involve the patient in decisions regarding their care.”
Dr. Ellis completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree at Rush University in Chicago.
