“Dr. King really took the time to listen. He didn't take my previous diagnosis at face value; he took the time to understand my personal symptoms. He explained the functions of medication and went over side effects. I know that finding the right regimen can take a while, but Dr. King has a game plan for me. I feel confident in him. For the first time in a very long time, I feel hopeful. Thank you Dr. King!”

“My first visit was phenomenal! Even the young lady up front was very helpful and polite. I did forget her name, my apologies! Dr. Beck was nothing but amazing! Can’t wait for my next visit!”
My focus as a psychiatrist is to apply how our brains interact with our environment to affect our spiritual, social, and functional well-being. I view the biology and psychology behind mental illness as intrinsically connected, and thus psychiatric treatment may involve psychotherapy, medications, or both.
My role as your physician is to 1) listen to your experience to understand you, your goals, and your concerns, 2) help you understand the biology and psychology behind your symptoms, and 3) develop an individualized medical plan to meet your specific goals.
I completed my residency in psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina and an additional fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Emory University. “Dr. Robbins was extremely professional and I felt like he explained everything to me regarding questions he asked to find out about what was going on with me. I felt comfortable confiding in him and it did not feel like he was judging me. I appreciated that he had boundaries.”
