Carla earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University. She worked at Virginia Hospital Center in the Cardiovascular ICU for nine years before obtaining her Master's to become a Nurse Practitioner.
She then trained under Advanced Pediatrics’s very own Dr. Schwartz in pediatrics and has now been with our practice for more than ten years.
Carla is board-certified in Family Medicine and carries additional certifications in providing mental health services to children and teenagers.
Her clinical interests encompass all aspects of pediatric care from newborn to adolescence, with an additional focus on behavior and mental health issues, anxiety, and attention disorders. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and hypnotherapy.
Carla lives in Falls Church, Virginia, with her husband. She has one daughter who, to even to her surprise, is already a young adult. Carla and her husband are avid antique collectors and are in the process of restoring a historic home in Danville, Virginia, to its previous glory.
Dr. Stephanie Binter is licensed clinical psychologist. She graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and a certification in neuropsychology. Dr. Binter conducts a variety of neurological and psychological testing, including forensic assessments and general mental health assessments to aid in the differential diagnosis. Dr. Binter completes fitness for duty evaluations as well as evaluations to assess the impact of mental health concerns on treatment and prognosis following spinal stimulator and bariatric surgeries. Dr. Binter is experienced at using telehealth to provide the therapeutic interventions.
Alison Rachuba, LRC, NCC is a Licensed Resident in Counseling. Alison graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Forensic Psychology from Stockton University in 2017; she then graduated with her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in 2021. Alison is currently a therapist at Loudoun County, VA. She has worked with individuals providing treatment for trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, and grief. She has assisted in research surrounding many topics ranging from police brutality findings to discrimination Asian-Americans experienced during COVID-19. She is passionate about advocacy work in the counseling field; Alison feels passionately about criminal justice reform and the interaction between mental health and oppressed populations. Outside of counseling, Alison teaches yoga and plans to implement trauma work with yoga and movement.
Dr. Lefkowits is a board certified clinical psychologist, an affiliation only 4% doctoral level psychologists obtain. Dr. Lefkowits trains clinical psychologists and other therapists. Dr. Lefkowits was part of the clinicial team testing the verathy prototype and providing feedback to the developers. Dr. Lefkowits has served as a senior consultant and coach for the Federal Leadership Institute, conducts fitness for duty evaluations for corporate clients, holds a Top Secret (Tier 5) clearance, and is a former Sports Psychologist at the University of Maryland Sports Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology and a nationally recognized forensic psychologist.
Dr. Brandy Dinklocker is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She provides neuropsychological evaluations, as well as psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of interest include traumatic brain injuries, eating disorders, OCD and related anxiety disorders, autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Dinklocker uses collaborative, evidence-based treatments, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), enhanced cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT-E), Maudsley model of family based therapy (FBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention.
Dr. Dinklocker earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington DC. She completed an APA accredited internship at the Mid-Atlantic Internship Consortium where she worked within an integrated medical setting providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and psychotherapy.
Dr. Mona Ezzat-AbuHamda began her graduate studies at Regent’s College in London in 1993 and received her doctoral degree from the George Washington University in Washington, DC in 2003
She serves as clinical faculty at the George Washington University, school of professional psychology, and held an adjunct faculty position at The Johns Hopkins University, school of business and education. In addition to her private practice in Mclean, VA. Dr. AbuHamda is an independent consultant providing clinical services at Washington Behavioral Health, a day-treatment outpatient hospital for adolescents and adults who struggle with addiction disorders.
She is a native of Egypt and lives in the Washington DC Metro area with her family.
Komal is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Virginia. She received her masters in Social work from University of Louisville in 2017. Komal’s approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and strength-based. She believes that every individual has the innate capacity for growth and resilience, and she works to empower her clients to harness their strengths and overcome challenges. She incorporates evidence-based techniques, tailored to each client’s unique needs, to facilitate meaningful change and foster a sense of well-being. While incorporating aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, meditation, and solution focused techniques. Komal has a special interest in working with young adults who are facing many life transitions and coping with their mental health. She strives to create a safe, affirming, and inclusive environment for clients of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities. Her goal is to help clients be the best version of themselves and help them find the strength to empower their lives.
Jason is a licensed clinical professional counselor with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. He received his Masters Degree in counseling from National Louis University in 2010. Jason has worked as a senior clinician at Alexian Brothers and Streamwood Behavioral Health Care Centers and started working with EYT Counseling and Wellness Center in 2019. Jason work with children, teenager and adults and specializes in anxiety and depression in middle school and teenage children. He also specialized in issues surrounding grief, divorce, and life changes.
Beyond counseling, Jason is a certified personal trainer and enjoys supporting clients with wellness and fitness goals. Jason loves counseling others while exercising, walking ouside, or playing ping pong in EYT's rec room.
Amy Weaver, LCSW C, is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. She provides telehealth therapy to individuals across Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia, and serves as both a supervisor for graduate level therapists and a member of Modyfi’s leadership team. Amy earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work from The Catholic University of America. Her approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy with mind body practices including meditation, focused breathing, and yoga. Amy helps clients build skills that support whole person wellness and lasting change. Her goal is to provide tools that empower each person to care for themselves and move toward the life they want. She is a supportive guide, educator, and coach who encourages clients to take that first step toward greater emotional well-being.
Kendall Greene-Herron, LMSW, is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker serving clients in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. She specializes in working with adolescents, teens, and young adults navigating behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and self-esteem issues. Kendall takes a goal-oriented, client-centered approach, using motivational interviewing and other evidence-based strategies to tailor care to each individual’s unique needs.
