Bailey is based in the hill towns of Western Massachusetts. They have been in social work since 2016 when they graduated from Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University with a BA in Women and Gender Studies and a BS in Family and Human Development. During undergrad, their thesis about support for Hispanic teen mothers was awarded Best Thesis by the College of Letters and Sciences, and they worked in various psychology labs. Later, while living in the Midwest, Bailey worked doing case management, intensive foster care, crisis stabilization, and youth day treatment, and earned their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison. In the years since, Bailey has been practicing individual therapy with children, adults, and families in community mental health settings.
Bailey enjoys working with folks from all walks of life. They have found to have strong relationships with those who are willing to dig deep, explore their relationship to oneself and the surrounding environment. Psychotherapy success often comes from building trust in the therapist-patient relationship, which Bailey enjoys fitting to the individual's unique personality and goals. Further, since diagnosis is complex and can fluctuate, Bailey feels it is particularly important to treat symptoms that each individual feels is most relevant.
Bailey primarily utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Relational Therapy, however they have a wide background of clinical training. They enjoy working with a team to tackle complex cases, and often take a social work approach to issues. They believe that what works is what is right, which looks different for every individual and family.
Please approach therapy exactly as you are. Trauma, relationship issues, life chaos, what have you; Bailey will be a confidante, conscience, shoulder, cheerleader, teacher, mirror, and/or other roles based on your unique needs and goals. Bailey's priority is that healing is accessible to anyone who seeks it, with or without the therapy jargon. Welcome!
