Dr. Chris Threatt, MD, is a partner and board-certified urologist at Kane Health in Atherton, California. He serves as the medical director of Kane Health, and his approach to medicine and his medical expertise are the driving force behind the practice’s innovative approach to men’s health.
Dr. Threatt received his bachelor’s in physiology from the University of California at Davis and his medical degree from the University of California at Irvine. Following medical school, Dr. Threatt completed his residency in surgery and urology at Duke University Medical Center.
Throughout his distinguished medical career, Dr. Threatt has been lauded for his work in men’s health. He has treated disorders related to the epididymis, penis, prostate, seminal vesicles, and the testes, as well as worked with men to address issues with hormonal imbalances and sexual dysfunction. Dr. Threatt has been the chief of surgery for Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, California. He has volunteered for The Second Opinion in evaluating urologic oncology cases and served as a member of the Medical Executive Committee for the San Mateo County Hospital. He was named “Patients’ Choice Award/California’s Favorite Physician” in 2009, 2012, and 2013, awarded “Vital’s Top 10 Specialist Award”, as well as a recipient of the “International Association of Healthcare Professionals/Leading Physicians of the World.”
In addition to his practice of medicine, Dr. Threatt has worked as a consultant for medical device companies such as Stryker Research and Lumenis. He has worked as a consultant for the United States Department of Justice and as an expert witness in several civil court cases.
In 2022, Dr. Threatt co-founded Kane Health, a men’s health clinic that utilizes advances in medicine and technology to provide men with a safe, whole-body approach to male health and sexual wellness. Kane represents the culmination of Dr. Threatt’s life’s work in men’s health by taking the best practices of what he has learned to help men live better.
Away from his practice of medicine, Dr. Threatt enjoys golf, basketball, music, and spending time with his family.
