Chris Metro, ND, MSOM, LAc, is a naturopathic physician bringing his interest in natural, nutritional, and herbal medicine to the Portland Clinic of Holistic Health. Dr. Metro earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and gained specialized knowledge in silicate, chlor-alkali, and petroleum-based derivatives while working for Occidental Chemical Corporation in Dallas, Texas. During his career at Occidental Chemical Corporation, he also pursued his interest in natural medicine by completing initial course work at the New England School of Homeopathy in Amherst, Massachusetts.

He then engaged in further study at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, where he completed his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. Dr. Metro worked with Professor Heiner Fruehauf, founder of the Classical Chinese medicine department at the National College of Natural Medicine, to create an online film archive of interviews and lectures from experts in mainland China.

Dr. Metro gained clinical experience in addiction treatment and infectious diseases through several internship programs throughout Portland, Oregon, with the Portland Alternative Health Center, De Paul Treatment Youth Center, and Outside In and Dignity Village. He later developed interest and experience with difficult and recalcitrant diseases at the Immune Enhancement Program of the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Metro traveled and studied throughout China, working with several well-known and respected professors, including the Daoist elder Professor Wang Quingyu of the Sichuan Academy of Cultural History and Professor Liu Lihong of Guangxi Institute for Research and Preservation of Classical Chinese Medicine.

Hello, I’m Dr. Brian Lee, a licensed acupuncturist since 2002 and over 20 years of experience specializing in pain management and integrative healthcare. I currently serve as the Medical Director at Cornerstone Acupuncture Institute, where I lead non-surgical treatment programs for spine and pain-related conditions. Previously, I founded and directed the Jaseng Center for Alternative Medicine in Orange County, establishing a strong foundation for integrative care in the region.

My expertise includes advanced training at prestigious institutions in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. I completed a Fellowship at Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine and received specialized training at ISOM Kyung Hee University Hospital, both located in Seoul, Korea, following my graduation from South Baylo University. In addition, I have supervised clinical training at the UCLA-affiliated Venice Family Clinic and LA County/USC Medical Center during my tenure as Dean of Clinical Education at Yosan University in Los Angeles, CA

In academia, I served as Dean at Yo San University, where I played a key role in shaping the next generation of acupuncturists. I have also contributed as Associate Faculty at South Baylo University. Beyond academia, I have worked as an advisor to integrate alternative medicine into mainstream healthcare as an Allied Health Representative on the CalOptima Advisory Committee.

Ming-Liang Jiang, LAc, is an experienced acupuncturist with more than 30 years of professional experience in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Mr. Jiang owns and operates Acupuncture & Alternative Medicine of Brooklyn and Staten Island in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn and the New Springville neighborhood of Staten Island in New York City.
