Dr. Egesi is the owner of Humble Dermatology and was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston with a BSc. in Biology and was inducted into the Golden Key Honor Society. She earned a chance at the internationally recognized Baylor College of Medicine for her medical education where she also graduated top of her class. She completed her internship and residency in dermatology at the University of Cincinnati and served as chief resident and became a board-certified dermatologist. Living in Ohio afforded her the pleasure of the breathtaking beauty of the four seasons in their climate and how to survive the winter among other things. She moved back home after her residency to Humble, Texas to become the first dermatologist to practice in the area. Dr. Egesi also received her MBA from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She is an expert in all aspects of dermatology including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology with special interest and highly skilled in the treatment alopecia (hair loss) and complex dermatological cases. Her deep appreciation for the challenges of eruptions that can affect the skin and the various presentations makes Dr. Egesi a collected and caring physician who is widely admired by peers and patients alike. Dr. Kate Leavens is a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist. She earned a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and a masters in acupuncture with a Chinese herbal medicine specialization from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. 

While Dr. Leavens’ training has focused on primary care, she has also completed more extensive training in gastroenterology, endocrinology, and women’s health. She is certified in pelvic floor therapy as well as somatic dialogue and has continued training in craniosacral therapy from UpLedger Institute. By integrating naturopathic philosophy, conventional medical tools, and Chinese medicine modalities, she is excited to offer a holistic and individualized approach to each and every patient. Dr. Meghan Larivee is a naturopathic physician and licensed acupuncturist with over 15 years of clinical experience helping patients restore skin and systemic health through an integrative, root-cause approach to medicine. Her clinical focus includes complex inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, alopecia areata, and topical steroid withdrawal.

With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Gurevich specializes in holistic approaches to complex gastrointestinal conditions. She helps restore the body’s natural ability to heal when conventional methods have failed to address the root cause of pain or disease.

David Chang, ND, LAc, is a board-certified naturopathic physician and acupuncturist at Open Wellness PDX in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Chang has extensive experience providing primary care, chronic pain management, and traditional Chinese medicine services. 

Dr. Chang was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and he spent part of his childhood there before relocating to beautiful Ashland, Oregon, and then to Portland. Chris Metro, ND, MSOM, LAc, is a naturopathic physician bringing his interest in natural, nutritional, and herbal medicine to the Portland Clinic of Holistic Health. Serving patients of all ages in Downtown Portland, Oregon, Dr. Metro has a focused interest in addiction treatment and infectious diseases.

Dr. Metro earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and gained specialized knowledge in silicate, chlor-alkali, and petroleum-based derivatives while working for Occidental Chemical Corporation in Dallas, Texas. During his career at Occidental Chemical Corporation, he also pursued his interest in natural medicine by completing initial course work at the New England School of Homeopathy in Amherst, Massachusetts.

He then engaged in further study at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, where he completed his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. Dr. Metro worked with Professor Heiner Fruehauf, founder of the Classical Chinese medicine department at the National College of Natural Medicine, to create an online film archive of interviews and lectures from experts in mainland China.

Dr. Metro gained clinical experience in addiction treatment and infectious diseases through several internship programs throughout Portland, Oregon, with the Portland Alternative Health Center, De Paul Treatment Youth Center, and Outside In and Dignity Village. He later developed interest and experience with difficult and recalcitrant diseases at the Immune Enhancement Program of the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Metro traveled and studied throughout China, working with several well-known and respected professors, including the Daoist elder Professor Wang Quingyu of the Sichuan Academy of Cultural History and Professor Liu Lihong of Guangxi Institute for Research and Preservation of Classical Chinese Medicine. 

Bill is a nationally board-certified licensed acupuncturist who applies a variety of acupuncture techniques to treat a broad spectrum of disorders. He has a primary focus in cancer-related side effects, acute and chronic pain, digestive issues, anxiety, migraines/headaches/vertigo and insomnia. Bill has more than 20 years of clinical experience in a northern Virginia private practice, is the author of more than 200 publications, and is very involved with promoting integrative healthcare in the United States. Bill also serves on the editorial boards of four national peer-reviewed medical journals and serves on the board of directors of the Integrative Health Policy Consortium (IHPC).
