Raffi Tachdjian, MD, MPH, FAAAAI, FACAAI, is Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Tachdjian received his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, followed by an internship and residency in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and a fellowship in Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Dr. Tachdjian’s research focuses on asthma, hereditary angioedema, and allergic inflammation, and he has served as primary or co-investigator of over 15 grant-funded research studies. Born and raised in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Wong was a three-sport athlete and musician in high-school.  He moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to study Computer Science and Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California.  After graduating from the Keck School of Medicine at USC, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the LAC+USC Medical Center, and he was honored as Senior Resident of the Year during his final year.  After residency, Dr. Wong stayed at LAC+USC for his fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology.

On a personal note, Dr. Wong is married to his high-school sweetheart, Lindsay.  They spend their spare time with their daughter and miniature dachshund.  They enjoy hiking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
