Dr. Ramappa earned her medical degree at the University of Mysore, India. She later moved to Michigan and completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Wayne State University. Since graduation in 2007, she has worked as an Invasive Cardiologist at the John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and served as the Chief of Cardiology between 2008 and 2013.
She continues to be a full-time faculty member at the Detroit VAMC.She recently trained in advanced cardiac imaging; primarily focusing on cardiac MRI. She serves as a teacher and mentor for Detroit Medical Center of Wayne State University students, residents, and cardiology fellows.
