Dr. Eghbalieh finished his undergraduate degree at University Of California, Irvine, and completed his medical degree at the Sackler School Of Medicine through Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel. He returned to the United States to complete his internship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and then his residency in general surgery at Fresno Medical Center in Fresno, California, through University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Andrew Raissis, MD, FACS, is a partner at the Colon and Rectal Surgeons of Greater Hartford, the largest dedicated colon and rectal surgery group in New England, with offices in Bloomfield and South Windsor, Connecticut. Dr. Raissis is board certified in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He’s dedicated to using the most clinically effective, cutting-edge methods to get the best results for the men and women who entrust their care to him.
Dr. Raissis’s career as a colon and rectal surgeon began with years of higher education. First, he graduated with a biology degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and then earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT. During his time in medical school, Dr. Raissis volunteered his time providing ambulatory care to underserved homeless and migrant populations.

Ramon Vazquez Jr., MD, is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon serving the community of West Palm Beach, Florida. At his self-titled practice, Ramon Vazquez, MD, PA, Dr. Vazquez specializes in cutting-edge procedures, including advanced laparoscopic and endovascular techniques. He also has extensive expertise with Intuitive robotic surgical systems.
After graduating from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, Ramon Vazquez Jr. earned his medical degree at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in the Bronx in New York City. He went on to complete his internship and residency in general surgery at the Johns Hopkins-affiliated Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where he was named chief resident. Then, Ramon Vazquez Jr. finished a vascular surgery fellowship at the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, New Jersey.

His specialties include robotic surgery, vascular surgery, and endocrine surgery. He also performs obesity treatments with leading medical systems like Ethicon and Covidien.

Anna Kata, MD, MAS, is a board-certified general surgeon and board-eligible colorectal surgeon-October 2024 and proctologist at Fairfax Colon & Rectal Surgery, PC. She serves patients in and around Fairfax, Gainesville, and Lansdowne, Virginia, operating out of FCRS’s Fairfax - Merrifield, Fairfax – Gainesville/Haymarket, and Lansdowne - Loudoun offices.
Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Dr. Kata recognized her passion for medicine early on while volunteering in the surgical wards of her local hospital. She saw firsthand the impact a thoughtful and well-trained physician could have on the lives of their patients. With this goal in mind, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
After graduation, Dr. Kata moved and enrolled at the University of California, San Francisco’s School of Medicine. There, she cemented her desire to become a surgeon and subsequently completed her surgical training at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.
Wanting further expertise, Dr. Kata pursued a Colon and Rectal Surgical Fellowship at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts. Her training included all aspects of anorectal and abdominal surgery and endoscopy.
During her clinical training, Dr. Kata developed an interest in the issues surrounding the care of older adults undergoing surgery. To further study this topic, she obtained a master’s in Clinical Research at her alma mater, the University of California, San Francisco. She has authored several publications and presented her research at national meetings.
When she isn’t at work, Dr. Kata enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and is an avid backpacker and gardener.
