Amanda Carswell is a compassionate and experienced member of our Calm Psych team, offering virtual appointments to support your mental health needs. Amanda earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University in 2009 and her Master’s of Education in Counseling, with an emphasis on School Counseling, from Western Illinois University in 2013.
With nine years of experience as a school-based counselor in Arizona, Amanda is well-versed in working with teens, young adults, parents, educators, and underserved populations. She has extensive knowledge of educational systems and provides valuable academic, college, and career counseling. Throughout her career, Amanda has served as a therapist, advocate, mediator, behavioral support, educator, and group facilitator.
Amanda specializes in understanding the unique struggles of younger generations and school-related anxieties. Her counseling approach is client-centered, deeply rooted in existentialism. She believes that you already possess the qualities needed to flourish and, with unconditional positive regard, helps you navigate barriers to reaching your highest self.
