Peter Allen, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Victory Recovery Partners, with locations in Farmingville, Shirley, and Massapequa, New York.
Peter earned his associate’s degree in psychology in 2008 at Suffolk Community College in Selden, New York, before moving on to Stony Brook University in New York, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and political science in 2010. He was the valedictorian of the psychology department and the recipient of the H. Lee Dennison Valedictorian Award. Peter remained at Stony Brook for his master’s degree in physician assistant studies.
Prior to joining Victory Recovery Partners, Peter worked for the psychiatry department at Stony Brook University as a senior research support specialist, conducting detailed psychiatric assessments and participating in several NIMH and NIH-funded research studies. He served several clinical rotations, gaining experience in neurosurgery, psychiatry, pediatrics, outpatient medicine, orthopedics, geriatrics, OB/GYN, general surgery, and internal medicine.
Peter’s diverse medical experience gives him the ideal background to support patients in their addiction recovery efforts at Victory Recovery Partners.

Carol J. McKinney, LCSW, CASAC-2, is a licensed clinical social worker at Victory Recovery Partners, which has locations in Farmingville, Shirley, and Massapequa, New York. Dawn completed training in substance abuse counseling from South Oaks Training Institute for Alcoholism and Addictive Behavior Studies in Amityville, New York, in 1995. She has been a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor through the New York State Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services since 1999.
Prior to joining Victory Recovery Partners, Dawn served as the program director and counselor at an addiction and recovery facility in Ronkonkoma, New York, and a counselor and assistant director at several facilities in the New York City area.
She also facilitated weekly groups to assist inmates with behavior modifications to avoid relapse and assisted with discharge planning for aftercare upon their release. These real-world experiences with patients gave Dawn the knowledge necessary to successfully treat and support her patients at Victory Recovery Partners.

The practice has been built upon a true medical foundation that works, avoiding old-school abstinence or trendy new approaches. The practice remains true to its roots, offering the most advanced medical and psychiatric support to patients in Hepstead, Farmingville, Shirley, and Massapequa, New York. Patients can choose between in-person care and convenient tele-therapy visits. Either way, patients get help from a broadly experienced team of board-certified addiction medicine specialists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, physician assistants, behavioral health counselors, and recovery peers.
