I possess a master’s degree of science: counseling and human development. I received this degree in May of 2011 from Radford University of Radford, Virginia. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor and my license number is 12336. I have been providing counseling services to children, adolescence, and adults for approximately ten years post graduate. Pam is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor, and National Certified Counselor. She works from a systemic lens, which views a relationship as the sum of its parts and as influenced by the broader social context.  Therefore, in sessions with Pam, clients gain insight into how family members, partners, and social context bear upon the relational unit, allowing them to make behavioral and communication changes for the benefit of all involved. The systemic focus gives all session participants the opportunity to explore their feelings and say what they think in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Utilizing an eclectic approach of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Pam aims to provide clients with the tools to increase their emotional vocabulary, communication skills, and improve their overall self-confidence.

Peter Allen, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Victory Recovery Partners, with locations in Farmingville, Shirley, and Massapequa, New York. 

Peter earned his associate’s degree in psychology in 2008 at Suffolk Community College in Selden, New York, before moving on to Stony Brook University in New York, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and political science in 2010. He was the valedictorian of the psychology department and the recipient of the H. Lee Dennison Valedictorian Award. Peter remained at Stony Brook for his master’s degree in physician assistant studies.

Prior to joining Victory Recovery Partners, Peter worked for the psychiatry department at Stony Brook University as a senior research support specialist, conducting detailed psychiatric assessments and participating in several NIMH and NIH-funded research studies. He served several clinical rotations, gaining experience in neurosurgery, psychiatry, pediatrics, outpatient medicine, orthopedics, geriatrics, OB/GYN, general surgery, and internal medicine.

Dawn completed training in substance abuse counseling from South Oaks Training Institute for Alcoholism and Addictive Behavior Studies in Amityville, New York, in 1995.
