About Kristin Doran, CASAC

Welcome! My name is Kristin Doran and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I hold a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. I am also a masters level CASAC and have previously supported individuals living with dual diagnosis as well as substance use difficulties. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, maladaptive coping skills, and stress management, in addition to life transitions and relationship issues.
I utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower individuals to facilitate intrinsic change. I implement CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), SBT (Strengths Based Therapy), and Person-Centered techniques while cultivating a safe space for the therapeutic process. I offer a warm, non-judgmental and personalized journey of healing.
Remember that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. It's an acknowledgment that we all face difficulties and that it's okay to ask for support when needed. Through therapy, individuals can learn to navigate their struggles, develop resilience, and ultimately grow through what they go through. It's a courageous and valuable journey towards self-improvement and well-being.

About Natalia Christie

My name is Natalia and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) trauma therapist in New York. I specialize in working with survivors of domestic or intimate partner violence and individuals navigating recovery from substance use disorder/addiction. My personal connections to the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community have fueled my ability and ambition to create an encouraging and empathetic healing space for my clients. During my course of study, I’ve expanded my clinical skills and completed training programs in multiple modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

To quote one of my favorite authors:

“If you are uncomfortable—in deep pain, angry, yearning, confused —you don’t have a problem, you have a life. Being human is not hard because you’re doing it wrong, it’s hard because you’re doing it right. You will never change the fact that being human is hard, so you must change your idea that it was ever supposed to be easy.” – Glennon Doyle

I work to create a safe therapeutic environment to support you in honoring your past, living in the present, and imagining a more empowered future. I'm motivated to work with you on any current or long standingchallenge you’re experiencing at a pace you're comfortable with. Life was never supposed to be easy, and I applaud you in taking this next step. I look forward to being on your team and a source of support for you through your journey.

About Elissa Scano
Ellie has worked with youth, ages 4-15 years old, both in the school setting and outpatient setting with the YMCA of Greater Monmouth County. This experience gave her exposure to children and families who were adjusting to a variety of situations, whether it be divorce, sexual abuse, trouble with school (ADHD, social anxiety, etc.), and the hardships that come with life transitions and finding oneself/purpose. More recently, she worked at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in the palliative care department where she was able to provide emotional support and therapeutic intervention for patients and families who were living with chronic illness and grieving those they had lost to their illness. These positions have helped her develop and shape her therapeutic technique while working with adults, children, families, and couples. Some of these techniques and perspectives include elements of cognitive behavioral theory, mindfulness, family systems, and psychodynamic outlooks.

About Alexa Corideo, LMSW

Victory Recovery Partners meets each of its clients right where they’re at, providing non-judgmental support to patients as they detox from addiction and move through recovery. The practice has been built upon a true medical foundation that works, avoiding old-school abstinence or trendy new approaches. The practice remains true to its roots, offering the most advanced medical and psychiatric support to patients in Farmingville, Shirley, Massapequa, Hicksville, and Hempstead New York. At Victory, patients come first; everything else follows.

Patients can choose between in-person care and convenient tele-therapy visits. Either way, patients get help from a broadly experienced team of board-certified addiction medicine specialists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, physician assistants, behavioral health counselors, and recovery peers.

A compassionate staff member will respond to calls and see new patients within 24-48 hours of first contact. The practice offers same-day appointments and accepts every kind of insurance.

The team at Victory Recovery Partners focuses on providing personalized and comprehensive care, tailoring every aspect of addiction treatment to meet the patient’s unique physical and mental needs. The team delivers all-inclusive care under one roof, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individual, group, and family therapy. Victory also offers “wellness services” to patients that may not have a primary care physician, yet need treatment for basic health conditions in addition to core recovery services.

MAT supports a safe detox with medications that curb cravings and stop withdrawal symptoms. The team specializes in using Suboxone®, Sublocade®, and Vivitrol® to treat opioid, alcohol, and cocaine addictions. After detox, the team works closely with each patient to provide ongoing mental health and wellness care and coordinate the services needed to move forward into a successful life.

Victory Recovery Partners treats the “whole person.” The team uses counseling, intensive outpatient services, case management, and psychiatric services to treat co-occurring disorders. Victory Recovery Partners goes a step beyond addiction treatment by also treating the medical conditions found frequently in people with addictions, such as hepatitis C and high blood pressure.

There are many roads to recovery, and Victory Recovery Partners takes them all. The practice is fully certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (NYS OASAS), providing outpatient addiction recovery that helps patients overcome their addiction and live healthier lives.
