Hi! I'm Amanda. I have been providing clinical mental health and wellness services to a diverse population of clients, with a wide range of concerns for over 3 years. I believe in a holistic and collaborative approach to the therapeutic process. I have found this to be an effective approach to treatment for any presenting concerns or problematic symptoms contributing to client distress. The therapeutic role is to create a safe space where clients can feel heard, validated and address their concerns openly in an unbiased, judgement free environment. I am passionately dedicated to providing guidance and/or assistance to any and all clients with compassion and empathy. Healing begins with you; My role is to bear witness and act as a guide, when necessary, as you find pathways to profound and meaningful insights into your own experiences. We all have stories filled with joy and sorrow, delight and despair, however healing is often found in a process of our own validated expressions.
Through active listening and open ended questions, I can assist you in applying and maintaining healthy lifestyle practices. I primarily focus on stress management, anxiety, anger, chronic pain and depression. My main goal is to help you find a place where you feel safe to explore life's challenges and assist you in solving them. I practice some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Person Centered and Mindfulness Base Stress Reduction.
“Brandi Gibson is exactly what you look for in a therapist- an attentive listener who is able to help me view things from a different perspective by asking thought provoking questions. She has helped me stay accountable, create a safety plan, given me new coping skills such different types of breathing, and most importantly, has made me feel heard and respected. Highly recommend Brandi if you are looking for a therapist.”
“Scott is the most patient therapist I have seen and he always has amazing feedback! I have not been to in person therapy in years and Scott has made it so much easier and secure for me to transition to in person therapy.”
