Pam is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor, and National Certified Counselor. She works from a systemic lens, which views a relationship as the sum of its parts and as influenced by the broader social context. Therefore, in sessions with Pam, clients gain insight into how family members, partners, and social context bear upon the relational unit, allowing them to make behavioral and communication changes for the benefit of all involved. The systemic focus gives all session participants the opportunity to explore their feelings and say what they think in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Utilizing an eclectic approach of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Pam aims to provide clients with the tools to increase their emotional vocabulary, communication skills, and improve their overall self-confidence.
Pam works with individuals (ages 6+), couples, and families. Pam specializes in life transitions, family conflicts, codependency, and addiction (substance use, gambling, and sexual).
Pam is a member of the National Society of Leadership & Success Sigma Alpha Pi Honor Society, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and the New York Marriage and Family Therapy Network. She earned her B.A. in Language Arts from the University of Buffalo, an M.S. in School Counseling from Capella University, and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University. Pam is currently completing her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Systemic Leadership.

Alex’s philosophy to mental health revolves around the idea that we all possess the answers to our questions, but often require assistance in uncovering and/or accepting them. Via a warm and empathic approach, Alex works together with clients to disentangle and clarify their thoughts and to establish goals for a fuller, more meaningful life. This process may be both challenging and invigorating, requiring the client to embark on a journey of self-reflection in areas rarely explored. Alex lives by the notion that the better we understand ourselves, the better we understand the world around us. In turn, that understanding helps us shape our world in furtherance of our goals.
Alex believes that the strongest foundation for healing rests in the relationship between client and counselor. A natural communicator, he has a degree in communication from Seton Hall University where he also minored in French. He went on earn his juris doctor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School Law, then practiced his craft in a variety of settings and states. Yet, he felt unfulfilled by the reality that he was unable to do what he loves most: helping people. Through his counseling degree from New York University, he began to directly engage in conflict resolution rather than conflict creation.
Alex’s professional acumen renders him perfectly suited for professionals dealing with high-stress environments. Having worked in several similar backdrops himself, he is intimately aware of the unique stressors, conditions and challenges these individuals face daily. Yet, his unique style and approach make him well-suited for people from all walks of life. Alex provides counseling for a host of issues, including: marriage and relationships (including couples and family counseling), anxiety-related disorders, substance use, depression, workplace difficulties, perfectionism, multiculturalism, LGBTQ+ life and trauma (to name a few). Alex’s rich background has taken him to nearly all corners of the globe and imbued in him a sense of respect and interest for all cultures. Additionally, he is fully fluent and capable of providing his services in Spanish.

My name is Natalia and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) trauma therapist in New York. I specialize in working with survivors of domestic or intimate partner violence and individuals navigating recovery from substance use disorder/addiction. My personal connections to the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community have fueled my ability and ambition to create an encouraging and empathetic healing space for my clients. During my course of study, I’ve expanded my clinical skills and completed training programs in multiple modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
To quote one of my favorite authors:
“If you are uncomfortable—in deep pain, angry, yearning, confused —you don’t have a problem, you have a life. Being human is not hard because you’re doing it wrong, it’s hard because you’re doing it right. You will never change the fact that being human is hard, so you must change your idea that it was ever supposed to be easy.” – Glennon Doyle
I work to create a safe therapeutic environment to support you in honoring your past, living in the present, and imagining a more empowered future. I'm motivated to work with you on any current or long standingchallenge you’re experiencing at a pace you're comfortable with. Life was never supposed to be easy, and I applaud you in taking this next step. I look forward to being on your team and a source of support for you through your journey.
