The story of RiNo Dental in Denver, Colorado, starts in 1978, when Bryant Franz, DDS, MBA, then a precocious young man, was born in Fort Collins. He grew up in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains, and he achieved his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Colorado State University. He also attended Loyola Marymount University, where he earned his MBA in Information Systems. He lived in Hollywood for six years, working in finance for a decade before he decided that what he truly wanted to do was become a dentist. That led him to the Colorado School of Dental Medicine, which he graduated from with his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Today, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Metro Denver Dental Society. Dr. Franz is also an Invisalign Silver Service Provider.
Dr. Franz has a classic ‘Maker’ personality – he loves to create things that influence and enhance his physical surroundings, which is why he became so focused on dentistry. People notice someone’s teeth second only to their eyes, and he can help patients both achieve and maintain a beautiful smile through his work.
Dr. Franz also loves being surrounded by great music, art, and design. He is happier and better in every way when he feels relaxed and comfortable, and music and art help him achieve that. That’s why a killer little neighborhood known as River North caught his eye when he was trying to figure out the location of his practice. He feels strongly that his needs and values align with this neighborhood, and his practice is a place where he can do his best work and keep his feelings soothed and happy.
Dr. Franz doesn’t expect anyone to look forward to their dental visit, but he also definitely doesn’t want anyone to feel miserable about the prospect of coming to RiNo Dental. When did dentistry become a dreaded, stuffy event with boring doctors and ugly office furnishings, anyway? He believes that you deserve services that align with your lifestyle, and that includes medical care. Today, Dr. Franz is happy to have a little family with his Bull Terrier named Miley Cyrus and his Cat named Desmond Winston Manchester XI. His hobbies outside of the office include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, real estate, architecture, and interior design. He’s also a big travel buff and has been to over 20 countries so far in his life.

Dr. Brian Raasch always knew he wanted to do something to help people. Inspired by his childhood dentist, and a community of compassionate and caring individuals, his path was clear from early on. His enthusiasm has only grown since then, and he brings his vibrant energy to his patients every single day.
Born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, Dr. Raasch is a true Colorado native. Dr. Raasch graduated with degrees in Biological Sciences and Biomedical Science from Colorado State University. He went on to graduate from the Colorado School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Dr. Raasch aims to provide the best possible experience for every patient that comes to the office. He understands that every patient has different goals for their oral health, and strives to provide personalized care in a fun, enthusiastic, and comforting environment. Dr. Raasch’s enthusiasm for dentistry and people keep him always on the go, and learning. He is a member of Spear Study Club and continues to grow his knowledge on occlusion (the construction of your bite), esthetic/cosmetic dentistry, and airway/sleep medicine. Dr. Raasch is a certified Invisalign provider and a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Metro Denver Dental Society.
In his time outside of the office, Dr. Raasch can be found exploring the outdoors with his wife Jenna and dog Nova (short for Novocaine). He is passionate about fly fishing, hiking, paddleboarding, biking, and gardening. He loves traveling abroad and learning about new cultures, ask him about his adventures!

Christopher Henes, DDS, fell in love with dentistry because it allowed him to meet new people every day, create lifetime relationships and find happiness in helping patients achieve their oral health goals. At Iliff Family Dental in Aurora, Colorado, Dr. Henes enjoys the relationships he has built over the years with patients.
Education plays an important role in Dr. Henes’ understanding of oral health and patient care. He began his dental studies at the University of Detroit Mercy, joining their Doctor of Dental Surgery program. Following his studies, he went on to complete a one-year residency training at Denver Health in Denver, Colorado.
During residency training, Dr. Henes was able to gain invaluable experience in molar root canals, extractions, developing complex treatment plans, working with medically complex patients as well as restoring smiles. In addition, he worked at Denver Health and was a residency director for their westside dental clinic.
Dr. Henes is also passionate about seeking educational opportunities in the dental community. He is a part of several professional memberships, including the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and the Metro Denver Dental Association.
When he’s isn’t helping patients achieve healthy and happy smiles, you can find Dr. Henes and his wife out and about, doing all the wonderful things that Colorado has to offer–biking, hiking, skiing, and trying out new restaurants in town.

Hi, I’m Dr. Herrick - but please call me Crispin. I am from the Southern California mountains, but fell in love with Colorado while completing my dental degree at the University of Colorado Anschutz. I continued my advanced training in General Dentistry through a residency program at Denver Health Hospital, where I met Dr. Henes and discovered our similar treatment philosophy. I now enjoy working with the Iliff Family Dental team to provide high-quality care, and look forward to helping you achieve your best smile! In my free time, I enjoy camping with my wife Jen, hiking with our lab/boxer mix Cota, or rewatching the best show of all time “Breaking Bad”.
