Dr. Gardner graduated from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. She then completed a transitional internship at Georgia Baptist Medical Center, covering specialties like general surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics-gynecology, emergency room medicine, and dermatology. She went on to complete an internal medicine residency, also at Georgia Baptist Medical Center, where she was awarded first prize for research in cardiac disease. She then did a second residency in dermatology at Emory, where she was chief resident. She published several papers and lectured on various dermatology issues during that time.
Dr. Gardner has been in private practice in the Atlanta area since 1991. She specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. In addition to being a medical reviewer for WebMD, Dr. Gardner is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is an active member of several societies and associations. These associations include the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, and the Florida Medical Association.
Jennifer Millsap, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Cleaver Dermatology and Aesthetics in Dawsonville, Cumming, and Toccoa, GA. She specializes in medical dermatology with expertise in acne management, psoriasis, eczema, autoimmune skin disorders, and skin cancer detection and prevention.
With over seven years of clinical experience, Jennifer combines her extensive medical knowledge with a compassionate, patient-first approach. She is also certified in Botox® administration and skilled in providing evidence-based, detail-oriented treatments customized to each patient’s unique skin concerns.

Mallory Sheehan, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in dermatology at Cleaver Dermatology and Aesthetics in Dawsonville, Cumming, and Toccoa, GA. She joined the practice in 2025 and is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to patients seeking healthy, confident skin.
A Georgia native from Marietta, Mallory earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Piedmont College in Athens. Before focusing on dermatology, she gained extensive clinical experience in hospital settings, including the emergency department and cardiovascular intensive care unit. This background helped her develop a calm, detail-oriented approach that patients appreciate during their visits.
Mallory has spent the past four years working in dermatology, where she takes a preventative and holistic approach to care. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable discussing their skin concerns while creating tailored treatment plans for both medical and cosmetic dermatologic needs. Her goal is to help each patient feel confident in their skin and empowered in their long-term care.
Outside of the office, Mallory enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their Goldendoodle, Moose. She loves being outdoors, exercising, visiting the lake, discovering new restaurants, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and skiing.

Larissa Melnik, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology at Cleaver Dermatology and Aesthetics in Gainesville, GA.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercer University in Atlanta. With eight years of clinical experience, Larissa is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, radiant skin through personalized, evidence-based care.
Larissa enjoys all aspects of dermatology, from treating chronic skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis to providing advanced cosmetic treatments that help patients look and feel their best. She believes in building strong relationships with her patients, taking the time to listen and educate them about their skin health.
Originally from Ukraine, Larissa values connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds and is fluent in Ukrainian, enabling her to communicate effectively with and serve a broader community.
Outside the clinic, Larissa enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. Together, they love playing basketball, traveling, and exploring new cultures and cuisines.

Weston Waxweiler, MD, FAAD, is a dermatologist at Cleaver Dermatology and Aesthetics-Cumming, Dahlonega, Lavonia, and Toccoa, Georgia locations.
Dr. Waxweiler completed his undergraduate degree with honors at Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, which he attended on a full scholarship. During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Waxweiler worked on a medical study-abroad trip in Kikuyu, Kenya, where he developed a desire to practice medicine.
Dr. Waxweiler earned his medical degree with honors at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He studied melanoma at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Doris Duke Fellow before moving to Denver, Colorado, to complete his internship at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center. To finalize his education, Dr. Waxweiler moved to California to complete a dermatologic residency at the University of California, Irvine, where he gained extensive experience with cosmetics, pediatric dermatology, and skin cancer.
To continue learning about the latest medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology developments, Dr. Waxweiler has authored many articles in scientific journals, textbook chapters, and dermatologic symposium abstracts. He uses the knowledge gained from this valuable research to better assist his patients.
Dr. Waxweiler enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, traveling, and reading when he’s not at work.
