She is frequently featured on ABC Eyewitness News in the greater Los Angeles area for her expert advice concerning the care of skin, hair, and nails.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Southern California, Dr. Chi received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, graduating cum laude with a major in philosophy. She earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School with the highest honors, completed her dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in downtown Chicago, and served as chief resident during her final year.
Dr. Chi has taught at the University of California, Los Angeles, and previously served as the Director of Dermatology Resident Education at Olive View-UCLA Hospital. She has also previously taught at Loma Linda University and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Dr. Chi received the President of the United States Volunteer Service Award for her dedication to teaching future doctors.
In her free time, Dr. Chi chases around two young children and enjoys spending time with friends, hiking, and traveling. She also loves to read, watch movies, and learn about different cultures and languages. Besides her native English, Dr. Chi speaks French, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.

Dr. Dennis Nguyen is a Southern California native, proud to be serving our community as a double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgeon.
Dr. Nguyen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Following college, Dr. Nguyen continued his work in the UCSF Melanoma Sentinel Lymph Node Program and research of autologous melanoma vaccines. He graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine as a prestigious Regents Scholar in 2004. From there, Dr. Nguyen completed his internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, his dermatology residency at University Hospitals/Case Western in Cleveland, and his ACMS Mohs Surgery and Procedural Dermatology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York. Since 2009, Dr. Nguyen has honed his skills in the treatment of skin cancers and cutaneous oncology. He has performed over 20,000 cases of Mohs micrographic surgery.

Following completion of his residency, Dr. Abrouk was hand selected to complete specialized fellowship training in Lasers and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery at the Wellman Institute at Harvard Medical School and Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. This fellowship is widely considered to be the most prestigious laser and cosmetic fellowship in the world, and the location where most lasers in medicine and surgery were invented and techniques pioneered.
Dr. Abrouk has authored hundreds of scientific research articles, academic poster presentations, book chapters and oral presentations across the nation and served as a reviewer for peer reviewed academic journals and holds one of the highest H index scores in the nation amongst physicians.
