Andrea grew up in Round Rock, TX. She graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with her Bachelor of Science in Health. She then went on to receive her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2017. Prior to completing her graduate studies, Andrea worked as a medical assistant in dermatology which motivated her to focus her sights on becoming a dermatology PA.

Prior to her arrival at Heights Dermatology, Andrea specialized in gastroenterology at UTMB in League City, TX. Susannah Andrews, MMS, PA-C, has been a dermatology physician assistant since 2001.  She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology/pre-medicine and then earned a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University. In addition, she completed a postgraduate dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, which was the only Physician Assistant Dermatology Residency program in the nation.  She is one of a select few physician assistants in the country chosen to complete this competitive program.

Raised in northwest Houston, Dr. Shook is a graduate of Klein High School. He graduated summa cum laude from East Texas Baptist University before attending Texas Tech University School of Medicine where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Medical Honor Society. He then completed his internship and dermatology residency at Texas Tech University. Following residency, Dr. Shook completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, Laser and Reconstructive Surgery at the Laser and Dermatologic Surgery Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Leon Chen, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School at Houston. He completed his dermatology residency training at the MD Anderson Cancer Center/University of Texas McGovern Medical School combined program and his Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs) fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Vannica gained experience working in the operating room at Texas Children’s Hospital in in Houston. As an operating room nurse, she completed two pediatric surgical mission trips to Guatemala with Faith in Practice.

Vannica entered the field of dermatology in 2017 as a staff nurse at a dermatology clinic, where she pursued her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
