Dr. Mauch grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and went to Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee. He completed his MD and his PhD in Biochemistry at Loma Linda University in California, followed by a medical internship also at Loma Linda University. Dr. Mauch completed his dermatology residency and fellowship training in dermatopathology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
