Douglas Thomas, MD, FAAD, is the founder and Medical Director at Thomas Dermatology, with offices in Bullhead City, Kingman, and Lake Havasu City, Arizona, as well as two locations in Las Vegas and one in Henderson, Nevada. About
Dr. Lieberman
Robert D. Lieberman, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and co-medical director of Thomas Dermatology. He specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancer, in addition to his busy general dermatology practice in Thomas Dermatology’s Post Road and Henderson offices. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at UNLV School of Medicine.
He is a native of Seal Beach, California, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. Dr. Lieberman received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC in Los Angeles, where he graduated with “highest distinction.” Dr. Lieberman was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society in his third year of medical school, a distinction reserved for the top 5% of his medical school class.
He completed his internship in internal medicine at the UCLA/West Los Angeles VA Medical Center in Los Angeles followed by his dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where he was selected Chief Resident. Dr. Lieberman pursued additional training in Mohs micrographic surgery under the mentorship of local and nationally recognized experts. He joined Thomas Dermatology in 2009.
Dr. Lieberman remains actively involved with the UNLV School of Medicine as the co-director of the Musculoskeletal/Skin curriculum, which allows him to continue to mentor future physicians.
Dr. Lieberman maintains his credentials with continuing education. He’s a member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also a consultant and speaker for several pharmaceutical companies.
He has published multiple articles in prestigious peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Drugs and Dermatology and the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
In his free time, Dr. Lieberman enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. When he is not at the office you can generally find him at the baseball diamond watching his sons’ baseball games! He has a passion for caring for his patients at Thomas Dermatology and welcomes them to the practice.
