He obtained his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, on a U.S. Army scholarship. Dr. Newman completed his internal medicine residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado (now the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus). 

Dr. Newman spent the next four years as a staff internist at the U.S. Army Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany. He left military service in 1997 and joined the staff of the University of Vermont in Burlington, where he was also an assistant professor of medicine, teaching medical students and residents. 

After three years in primary care internal medicine, he sought specialty training and rejoined the Army to do so. He completed his allergy/immunology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2002 and, from there, returned to Germany to become Chief of Allergy at the US Army Hospital in Würzburg, where he also functioned as chief of medicine. 

He left Germany and the Army in 2005 to launch a solo allergy/immunology practice in Vermont and spent the next 11 years as an established allergist in the Burlington, Vermont, area. 

When his son graduated from high school, he and his wife decided to make a bold change and return to Colorado. He joined Denver Allergy & Asthma and Associates in July 2016.

When not at work, Dr. Newman loves the wilderness and the mountains, camping, hiking, canoeing, and fishing whenever he can find the time. He is married and has a grown son who lives in Salt Lake City.

Deirdre Fraller, DNP, ANP-C, PMHNP-BC, is the founder, CEO, and Clinical Director of Owl & Eagle Health and Wellness. Known for her compassionate and skilled approach to mental health care, Dr. Fraller creates a welcoming atmosphere for her patients. Her commitment to understanding each individual's unique mental health journey is reflected in her thorough diagnostic evaluations, including detailed histories and in-depth symptom investigations.

Dr. Ashleigh Sartor, MD is a graduate of Swedish Medical Center Family Medicine Residency. Prior to moving to Denver for residency, she received her medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, and undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Hope College in Michigan. Dr. Sartor enjoys the opportunity that Family Medicine provides for forming therapeutic relationships with a large variety of patients. Dr. Rebecca Nickell is an Osteopathic Physician who graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. She learned to love Colorado while completing her residency at Southern Colorado Family Medicine in Pueblo, Colorado. She enjoys treating the whole person, using a whole body rather than a disease focused approach to health and wellness. Her interests include general family medicine, well women care, osteopathic manipulation, mental health, and assisting with weight loss. She loves taking care of whole families from young children to their grandparents. Dr Nickell grew up all over the South. After hearing about how her grandfather, a small-town family practice physician, really took care of his whole community, she knew it was her dream as well. I am a family nurse practitioner with vast experience in pediatrics, family medicine, addiction medicine and home health. I began my nursing career working in the pediatric unit at Duke University Hospital. I went on to earn my MSN degree with a focus of Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. After years of practicing family medicine in a rural health setting in North Carolina, I have started my own practice with the goal of improving access to healthcare for patients in rural Colorado. I am Dr. Janna Gelderman-Moffett (she/her), a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician and a North American Menopause Practitioner (NCMP). This uncommon combination allows me to manage complex needs with both an evidence-based and lifestyle medicine approach.

Timothy Mazzola, MD, is triple board-certified in family medicine, sports medicine, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He practices as a non-operative orthopedic and regenerative medicine specialist at Breakthrough Regenerative Orthopedics in Boulder, Colorado. His enduring professional passion is to bring restoration, healing, and hope to those looking to return to the life they love and be the people they are called to be.  

Dr. Mazzola formerly worked as a non-operative orthopedic specialist at Cornerstone Orthopedics for eight years and was a United States Air Force Academy team physician. 

Passionate about teaching, Dr. Mazzola is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Colorado in Boulder, teaching family medicine residents. He is a national expert and highly sought-after physician educator who has taught musculoskeletal and sports ultrasound for many years at the Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute and Advanced US courses at the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine National Conferences.

Terese Donch, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician providing wellness services and primary care to individuals and families at Greenwood Village Family Medicine in south Denver, Colorado. Having practiced medicine for over two decades in the greater Denver area, Dr. Donch cares for her community and takes the time to spend with each patient to address all the patient’s needs in an unhurried supportive setting.

Dr. Donch received her undergraduate education at the University of California at San Diego, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering. She continued courses there to earn a master’s degree in physiology and pharmacology before studying law at The University of San Diego. She then practiced law for several years. 

Later, Dr. Donch returned to school to pursue her passion for medicine. She completed her degree at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. Following graduation, she moved to Colorado to complete a family medicine residency at The University of Colorado.

Today, Dr. Donch’s love of the outdoors drives her to integrate nature into caring for her patients. She provides health coaching at Greenwood Village Family Medicine, including forest medicine, to help improve patients’ mental, physical, and spiritual health.

Dr. Donch also helps patients keep up with preventive care, women’s health care, conditioning advice, nutrition, and hormone management.

Outside the office, Dr. Donch enjoys spending time in the picturesque Colorado mountains and foothills. She frequently hikes and cross-country skis with her dog Sadie.
