Dr. Barrett attended Virginia Tech for his undergraduate degree, studying biochemistry. He earned his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Barrett’s treatment philosophy is one of empowering the patient: “Patients have the right to be heard and to partner with me to create a treatment plan appropriate for their individual needs and situation”. His clinical interests are primary care, preventative medicine and LGBT health.

Anne-Sophie Kim, MD, is a dedicated primary care physician at Michigan Avenue Primary Care located in The Loop of downtown Chicago, Illinois. She is committed to patient-centered medicine and provides comprehensive and preventative primary care.
Skilled in managing both acute and chronic conditions, Dr. Kim aims to improve the overall health of her patients. Her particular areas of interest include managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and thyroid diseases.
Dr. Kim completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago – NorthShore in Evanston, IL. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in Chemistry, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
Fluent in English and French, and proficient in Spanish, Dr. Kim effectively communicates with a diverse patient population. Her multilingual skills enhance her ability to provide exceptional care to patients from various backgrounds.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Kim has teaching and leadership experience. She served as a Teaching Scholar at the University of Tennessee COM in Memphis and as a Clinic Leader at Clinica Esperanza, a free primary care clinic for the uninsured and underserved Spanish-speaking adult population in Memphis. She also spent time as a College Biology and Pre-Med Mentor for the STEMPREP program at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.

Earning her medical degree from the University of Munich, Dr. Lengyel pursued further training in obstetrics and gynecology while in Germany before moving to the United States to work as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of California San Francisco. After publishing multiple articles and book chapters, Dr. Lengyel returned to clinical medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at West Suburban Medical Center.
Her treatment philosophy is to appreciate that every patient is different and in turn, to provide them with the deserved individual attention and treatment. She believes in listening to patients, educating them about their diagnosis and treatment options, and caring about their wellbeing. Dr. Lengyel values the inherent variety of Michigan Avenue Immediate Care’s patients who continually keep her “thinking, rethinking and learning”.

Known for his empathetic and understanding approach, Andrew creates a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel heard and empowered. Andrew strives to help individuals develop lasting resilience, deepen their self-understanding, and build stronger, more connected relationships with themselves and with others.
In therapy, Christina uses psychodynamic, cognitive, and internal family systems theories, integrating mindfulness techniques. She is passionate about creating a warm, collaborative therapeutic alliance tailored to each client’s needs. Christina earned her Bachelor of Arts from Emmanuel College and her Master of Social Work from Simmons University.
