After residency, Dr. Sachdeva served on the medical faculty at New York Medical College before relocating to Chapel Hill. Dr. Allen attended medical school at UNC and performed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia where he also served as Chief Fellow and completed a sub fellowship in Pancreatobiliary Medicine. Dr. Christopher Schwarz is a Michigan native. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit with his medical degree. Dr. K began his career in Michigan, working at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and serving as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Michigan State University. During his tenure, he was actively involved in research and conducted clinical trials focused on children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Notably, he led the first Phase 1 clinical trial exploring fecal transplant as a treatment for pediatric ulcerative colitis. In 2014, he moved to North Carolina to establish the Pediatric Gastroenterology program at WakeMed Hospital, where he served as the Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology. In 2018, he launched and managed his private practice, Wake Pediatric Gastroenterology.
Dr. K brings broad expertise in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a special focus on general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), gastrointestinal inflammation caused by food allergies, and endoscopic procedures such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. K enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, exploring the beauty and activities North Carolina has to offer.
