Dr. Bowman is a 1981 graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina Pediatric Residency (1984), and Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology (1987) from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During almost 20 years of caring for children with cancer, Dr. Bowman became interested in Eastern Medicine, and is certified in medical acupuncture (2010) through the Helms Medical Institute, UCLA. She is board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology, medical acupuncture, and addiction medicine.
Combining her areas of expertise, she provides supportive medical, pediatric, oncology care and pain management. Dr. Bowman offers assessment and pharmacologic treatment of concentration disorders (ADD, ADHD) and substance use disorders (alcohol, opioid, stimulants, nicotine). She is credentialed to prescribe buprenorphine and Suboxone
