She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. She finished medical school, residency, and Cardiovascular Fellowship at Georgetown University. She currently holds a certificate from the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease. David Bauder, PA-C, brings over 26 years of diverse medical experience to his role as the Assistant Medical Director and co-founder of Weight Loss and Vitality, located in Manassas, Alexandria, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Gaithersburg, Maryland. After earning his physician assistant degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, David further advanced his expertise by completing a graduate program in physician assistant studies at the University of Nebraska Health Science Center in Omaha.
Throughout his career, David has honed his skills across multiple medical disciplines, including podiatry, family medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, urgent care, and functional medicine. His breadth of experience is complemented by his distinguished 27-year service in the United States Army, including three combat tours in Southwest Asia. In the Army, he not only served in various clinical capacities but also took on leadership roles, such as the Executive Officer of the Army Medical Specialist Corps at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and a strategic advisor at the Defense Health Headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia.
David's passion for health extends beyond his professional life. An avid cyclist, he has dedicated over a decade to competitive cycling, participating in national events. Dabo Xu, MD, is a board-certified physician in gastroenterology, hepatology, and internal medicine at the Gastro Center of Maryland, with locations in Annapolis, Columbia, Olney, Riverdale, Timonium and Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Dr. Xu treats a wide variety of conditions at the practice, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), celiac disease, colon cancer, liver disease, and other gastrointestinal conditions.
