He was raised in Texas where he obtained his bachelors of science in Microbiology at The University of Texas at Austin. He later went on to obtain his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston- School of Public Health. He graduated from medical school with with the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency from Bluefield Regional Medical Center where he served as chief resident for 2 years. Dr. Swisher comes to StatCare practicing in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine since 1995. He completed undergraduate, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy programs at The Pennsylvania State University prior to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine degree at Jefferson Medical College. Subsequently, Dr. Swisher completed an Internal Medicine Residency in 1992 and Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship in 1995 at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. He maintains board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. Dr Chaltry was a traditional Internal Medicine physician in South Carolina, Mississippi, and Tennessee before joining Statcare Medical Group as a hospitalist in 2010.
