After an illustrious career spanning four decades, Dr. Thomas Hosey, DPM, has recently retired from the practice of podiatric medicine. Dr. Hosey began his academic pursuits at Michigan State University, where he laid the foundation for his future in medicine. Graduating in 1977, he went on to obtain his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now known as the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine) in 1981. His dedication to learning didn't end there; he completed a rigorous residency at St. John North Shores Hospital in Harrison Township, Michigan, further honing his skills and expertise.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hosey has been a trailblazer in foot and ankle reconstruction surgery. His commitment to staying at the forefront of his field led him to pursue board certification in foot and ankle reconstruction surgery, a testament to his unwavering dedication to providing the highest standard of care to his patients.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Hosey has been a beacon of knowledge and mentorship in the medical community. He has generously shared his wealth of expertise through lectures nationwide and has contributed to numerous publications in esteemed medical journals. As a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Michigan State Podiatry Association, Dr. Hosey has played an active role in shaping the future of podiatric medicine.
