Ernesto Africano, MD, FACC, is a skilled cardiologist offering comprehensive care at Maryland Cardiology Associates PA in Greenbelt, Maryland. Rakesh Sahni, MD, is an experienced cardiologist at Maryland Cardiology Associates, serving adults in and around Greenbelt, Maryland, and throughout Prince George’s County.
Dr. Sahni began his professional pursuits at Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial (G.S.V.M) Medical College in Kanpur, India, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. Following graduation, he remained on campus and completed specialty training in internal medicine.
After completing an internship and several medical residencies, Dr. Sahni moved to the United States. Before entering private practice, he completed a residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and a second residency at Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly, Maryland.
Dr. Sahni subsequently completed a cardiology fellowship at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship.

Saifudin Hussein, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiovascular specialist at Capitol Cardiology Associates. From three offices in Camp Springs, Lanham, and Largo, Maryland, Dr. Hussein provides all patients with high-quality care.
Dr. Hussein was born in Ethiopia and completed medical school at Jimma University in Jimma, Ethiopia. He fulfilled his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship training at Howard University Hospital. During his training, Dr. Hussein was selected as the second-best resident in 2002.
He participated in ACP Medical Jeopardy alongside two other residents and achieved third place in the United States of America. Dr. Hussein received a certificate of achievement for scholarly activities. He has participated in several published abstracts and articles.
Since graduation, Dr. Hussein has been practicing cardiology in Prince George's County, Maryland. While working in private practice, Dr. Hussein has accumulated extensive experience caring for cardiac patients in office and hospital settings. He has privileges at Luminis Health Doctor’s Community Hospital and University of Maryland Capital Regional Health
He holds four board certifications, including cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, nuclear cardiology, and adult transthoracic echocardiography.

Vivek Bahl, MD, FACC, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist serving patients at Capitol Cardiology Associates in Lanham, Bowie, and Laurel, Maryland.
In 1994, Dr. Bahl received his doctoral degree from Delhi University in New Delhi, Indiana. He completed his residency program at the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center in Lake Arbor, Maryland.
In 2001, Dr. Bahl completed his medical training at Georgetown University Medical Center's internal medicine program as a chief resident in Washington, D.C. He continued training at Georgetown University's cardiovascular fellowship program.
Dr. Bahl trained at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, completing the cardiology program in coronary and peripheral vascular intervention in 2006. Since then, he has been working as a cardiologist in the Maryland area.
Dr. Bahl joined Capitol Cardiology Associates as a partner in 2010. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology with privileges in Luminis Health Doctors Community Hospital, University of Maryland Capital Regional Health and Washington Adventist Hospital.

Dr. Rao grew up in Potomac, Maryland, a suburb of Washington D.C. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating, he obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Rao completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. He then furthered his training with a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, focusing on echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular imaging.
When he's not working, Dr. Rao enjoys spending his free time reading, hiking, catching up on politics, and being with family and friends.
