Dr. Ahmed M. Abdel-Megid, MD is a Board-Certified Rheumatologist providing services to the communities of Somerville, Monroe, and Flemington, New Jersey. He is an expert in the management of a multitude of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal diseases including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis. He has specific training in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and rheumatism. Elliot Decker, MD, is a highly respected and fellowship-trained physician who specializes in hand and wrist surgery at MidJersey Orthopaedics in Flemington, New Jersey. 

Dr. Decker graduated from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, earned his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and finished his studies with a residency at New York Medical College and St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City.

He’s also completed numerous fellowships, including a fellowship in hand surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, and a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts. He also was awarded two fellowships with the National Institute of Health, one in bone pathology at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, and another in bone metabolism at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. 

Dr. Decker stays active in his field as a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American College of Sports Medicine, the Philadelphia Hand Society, the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society, the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of the State of New Jersey, and the Hunterdon County Medical Society. He also holds leadership positions in several institutions, serving as a member of the board of trustees for the United States Department of Health and Human Services, the vice-chairman of the Harrisburg Medical Center Foundation, and a past president of the Hunterdon County Medical Society. 

In his practice, Dr. Decker has expertise in hand and wrist surgery, foot and ankle surgery, general orthopaedics, and sports injuries and conditions. He’s also highly skilled in shockwave therapy, “no crutch” foot surgery, minimal incision carpal tunnel surgery, and treating work-related injuries and conditions. He prides himself on developing treatment plans that are unique to each patient.

Michael Milone, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon on the team of providers at MidJersey Orthopaedics in Flemington, Bridgewater and Washington, New Jersey. He specializes in hand surgery and brings extensive experience to his practice.

Dr. Milone was born in Oceanside, New York, and was the valedictorian at Chaminade High School in Mineola, New York. He graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. During his undergraduate years, he studied as an exchange student at Oxford University in Oxford, England.

Dr. Milone earned his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and won the school’s Orthopaedic Research Prize. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at New York University Langone Orthopedics in New York City and went on to finish a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. 

As an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Milone stays connected to his peers and up-to-date on the latest developments in his field. He’s also passionate about academic and research efforts in orthopaedic surgery and has contributed to numerous textbooks, given poster and podium presentations, and is published in several leading peer-reviewed academic journals, including the Journal of Hand Surgery.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Milone stays active and healthy by exercising with Peloton® and playing golf. He enjoys rooting for the New York Jets and serves as the medical analyst for Sleeper Fantasy Football. He also likes to spend as much time as possible with his wife, Jackie, their daughter, Pippa, and dog, Lana.

Hitesh Patel, MD is a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine and obesity medicine. He provides expert, compassionate primary care at Premier Healthcare Associates, PC, conveniently located in a state-of-the-art facility near Ocean University Medical Center (OUMC), part of Hackensack Meridian Health, in Brick, New Jersey. 

Dr. Patel offers a wide range of services, including the diagnosis and management of chronic conditions such as thyroid disorders, heart disease, diabetes, COPD, and mental health conditions. His practice also provides preventive care, comprehensive physical exams, medical weight loss programs, and aesthetic treatments like TempSure® Envi for skin tightening. To enhance patient care, the office uses a modern electronic medical records system, and most prescriptions are sent electronically for convenience and efficiency.

Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago, earning a double major in chemistry and biology. He was awarded the Loyola University Presidential Scholarship (a tuition merit scholarship), was a national member of the Pre-Medical Honor Society, and consistently made the Dean’s List. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2000, with extensive training across specialties including nephrology, urology, gastroenterology, cardiology, psychiatry, neurology, pulmonology, critical care, surgery, and infectious disease.

His postgraduate training in internal medicine included residencies at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois, and St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center in Queens, New York, affiliated with New York Medical College. Following his training, Dr. Patel served as both a staff and attending teaching physician. He was Associate Director of the Transitional Year Residency Program at Ocean University Medical Center, Clinical Site Director for Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, and currently serves as Chairman of Medicine at Ocean University Medical Center, where he leads academic and clinical efforts within the department.

Dr. Patel also served as a physician for Monmouth and Middlesex County Correctional Facilities, providing care in challenging and high-security environments. In addition, he worked as an occupational physician for Continental Airlines at Newark International Airport. Before founding his private practice in Brick in 2006, he practiced medicine in both the Bronx, New York, and Manhasset, Long Island, gaining extensive experience in diverse clinical settings.

Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. He is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and pursuing personal interests such as yoga, biking, hiking, and traveling.

Our Medical Director, Dr. Cathy Carron, is a Board-certified Internist who has been practicing in lower Manhattan for more than 25 years. She maintained a private practice and also served as the Medical Director of the American Stock Exchange until 2008, when she joined the New York University group practice at the NYU Trinity Center.

She returned to private practice in 2012, and retained her affiliations with NYU Langone Medical Center Hospital, where she is an Attending Physician at the NYU School of Medicine and a Clinical Instructor. Dr. Carron was an English major at Bard College and an Editorial Assistant at the Paris Review before turning to medicine. She is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now called the New Jersey Medical School, a part of Rutgers University.

She lives downtown in the Wall Street neighborhood she serves.

Dr. Ora Pearlstein’s interest in medicine began with a love of biology while completing her Bachelor of Arts at Barnard College in New York, graduating Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and receiving the Constance Von Wahl Award for Excellence in Biology.  Dr. Pearlstein graduated from The University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1995, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, a hospital of Harvard Medical School, and became board certified in Internal Medicine in 1998.

After completing her residency, Dr. Pearlstein joined the faculty at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University where she was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and served as the course director of the Introduction to Clinical Practice course for medical students.  Dr. Pearlstein also worked as a clinician and educator at Long Island College Hospital, before joining Downtown Primary Care and the faculty at New York University Langone Medical Center, as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Internal Medicine.
