Dr. Muhammad Ismail, MD, is a board certified and fellowship trained Neurologist with over 25 years of experience in Coral Springs, FL. Dr. Ismail completed his Medical Internship from Long Island Jewish Hospital, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, his Neurology Residency training from Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami, and his Fellowship in Neurophysiology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Ismail diagnoses and treats neurological disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles. He performs EEG (Electroencephalography) and EMG (Electromyography) procedures. Dr. Pawar is double board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology with an interest in hyperacute management of stroke and establishing systems of care. He received his medical degree at B.J. Medical College in India before going on to Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to complete an Internal Medicine residency followed by neurology residencies at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Following completion of his residencies, Dr. Pawar completed Fellowships in Vascular Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania, Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, and Advanced Vascular Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is coming to us from Duke University Medical Center where he served as Stroke Medical Director. He is widely published. He has varied interests and has participated in multiple clinical trials.
Sussel Vega Pupo, APRN began her career in medicine as an LPN before going on to receive her BSN. As a RN she worked as a charge nurse in the neuro intensive care unit as well as a critical care nurse before receiving her MSN from Florida National University. Sussel takes pride in providing the highest level of care to all patients.
Fawzi Abukhalil, MD, is a neurologist with a sub-specialty in neuro-ophthalmology. He treats patients at The Neurology Institute in Coral Springs and Sunrise, Florida. Dr. Kurako received her medical degree from the Dnepropetrovsk Medical Academy in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. She completed her neurology residency at Cleveland Clinic in Florida. Dr. Kurako was also a movement disorders research fellow at Cleveland Clinic in Florida. She then went on to complete neuromuscular fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Kurako is passionate about educating future physicians as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Florida State University College of Medicine as well as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Central Florida.
