With more than 40 years of experience working with women in all life stages, Carlos Cardenas, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving people in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Edward B Blackmon Jr. was born and raised in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He earned his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed an internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Madigan Army Medical Center.

He served as a Medical officer in the US Army Reserves reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was recalled to active duty for Operation Desert Storm. While in private practice in Akron, Ohio he was also an Associate Clinical Professor at North Eastern Ohio University College of Medicine.

He practiced In Jourdanton, Texas from 2005 to 2020 serving terms as Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery. Methodist Hospital System closed the Maternity Service Line in July 2020, and he relocated his practice to join Dr Al-Hakeem in September 2020.Dr Blackmon has experience and interest in many aspects of OB-GYN including High-Risk Obstetrics, Minimally invasive surgery, and Female Incontinence. Melhem Dandan, MD, FACOG, FAAFP, is board-certified in both OB/GYN and Family Medicine, giving him the unique training and experience needed to manage his patients at the Harlandale Clinic in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Dandan received his medical degree from Damascus University School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria. He then completed his family practice residency training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and a second residency in OB/GYN at the University of California, Los Angeles, Kern Medical Center.

He practiced medicine in Merced, California, for seven years, where he served as the medical director of a women’s health clinic and in the Department of Public Health. During this time, he was a member of the teaching faculty at the University of California, Davis, and the San Joaquin Valley Community Colleges to help train future generations of nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

After moving to beautiful San Antonio, Dr. Dandan owned and operated a successful OB/GYN clinic on the southside before joining forces with the Baptist Health System and Steward Medical Group. Abraham Alecozay is a Board-Certified Fertility Specialist and OB/GYN at Westover Hills Women's Health in San Antonio, Texas. 

In 1991, Dr. Alecozay received his medical degree from Texas Tech University (TTU) in Lubbock. He then completed a residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine (KU School of Medicine), Wichita, Kansas.

Robin Ann Evenson, WHNP, CNM, is a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional specializing in women’s health and midwifery at Westover Hills Women’s Health in San Antonio, Texas. 

A native Texan, Robin spent over 11 years in Uruguay, where she became fluent in Spanish, enriching her ability to provide culturally sensitive care to diverse communities. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Midwifery from Baylor University, complementing her extensive background as a Labor and Delivery nurse and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

With a career spanning two decades, Robin is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through every stage of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and beyond. She is committed to fostering a supportive and empowering environment for expectant mothers and their families. Robin also enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients, offering personalized care that addresses their unique needs and goals.

Robin earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Baptist University and completed her Master of Science in Women’s Health to become a Nurse Practitioner in 2003. Driven to expand her expertise, she returned to school and graduated from Baylor University in 2013 with a focus on midwifery.

Outside of her practice, Robin finds joy in exploring the outdoors, cooking, reading, and traveling. Robin is honored to guide patients on their journey to wellness and motherhood.

Susan Crockett, MD, FACOG is a Board Certified OB/GYN specializing in Minimally Invasive Gyn Surgery (MIGS).  She is one of the top 1% Benign Gyn Robotic surgeons in the world, with almost 30 years of experience providing compassionate, dedicated care for women. Dr. Crockett practices at Virtuosa GYN, the premier location for advanced benign gynecological surgery in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Crockett earned her MD at Texas A&M University College of Medicine in and completed her OB/GYN residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.

Dr. Crockett holds herself to the highest standards of medical care.
