Dr. Oz Simel is a dual degree (DDS, MD) Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon. His father is a general dentist in the Bay Area and he knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating from Loyola Marymount University, Dr. Simel earned his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco where he went to school with his twin brother. At UCSF, he discovered his passion for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and ventured down to Southern California to the University of California, Los Angeles where he spent six years in residency obtaining the skills and medical knowledge essential to the field. After finishing his residency he decided to move back to Northern California as he wanted to give back to the community where he grew up. Dr. Simel's particular interest lies in wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, bone grafting and safe intravenous sedation. Peter Lyu, DDS, is a member of the skilled dental team at Los Gatos Dental Specialists in Los Gatos, California. Dr. Lyu is a proud graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, California.
He embarked on a six-year residency at Chandler Hospital at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. During this residency, Dr. Lyu focused on craniofacial surgery and trauma, as well as oral reconstruction with bone regeneration and dental implants.
While in Kentucky, Dr. Lyu also completed the requirements for the College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky and received his medical degree.
