Dr. Wenger graduated magna cum laude from Loyola College with a Bachelor of Science in biology. About Qasim M. Husain, MD

Dr. Qasim M. Husain is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at the Orthocenter. He received advanced training in the surgical and non-surgical management of the entire range of spinal disorders from degenerative conditions to complex spinal deformity. Dr. Husain has also undergone training in minimally invasive techniques, such as 'micro' surgery and percutaneous instrumentation, to address a variety of spinal disorders.

Dr. Husain received his undergraduate degree in Neurobiology from Cornell University and went to the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University for his medical education. There he graduated with an M.D. degree with Recognition in Research and stayed on-board to complete his Surgical Internship as well as his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. As a junior resident he received the "Outstanding Resident" of the year award and was appointed as the Chief Administrative Resident in his final year.

Following residency, Dr. Husain was accepted to the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases to complete his Fellowship training in Spine Surgery. About Keith M. Rinkus, MD, MS

Dr. Keith Rinkus is a Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon specializing in treatments of the Lumbar, Thoracic, and Cervical regions of the Spine. At Orthocenter, Dr. Rinkus performs both surgical and nonsurgical treatments for his patients. Dr. Rinkus is affiliated with hospitals in the Hackensack Meridian, Saint Barnabas, and Mount Sinai Health Systems.

Dr. Rinkus is an expert in both surgical and nonsurgical treatments of the Spine including minimally invasive and outpatient spine procedures, disk replacements, decompressions as well as complex Adult Spinal Reconstruction and deformity correction procedures.

Before turning to medicine and surgery, Dr. Rinkus studied civil and environmental engineering, earning both a B.S. and an M.S. in Engineering. He later received his Medical Degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. During medical school, Dr. Rinkus was the recipient of the Wake Forest Medical Alumni scholarship and was granted a National Institutes of Health Young Investigators Research Fellowship.

About Larry Bloomstein, MD

Dr. Larry Bloomstein received his Medical Degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Following graduation

Dr. Bloomstein completed his Orthopaedic Residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. During residency Dr. Bloomstein’s training included Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Orthopaedic Trauma at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. 

Following Residency, Dr. Bloomstein completed his first Fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at the University of Tennessee Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. During his Fellowship, Dr. Bloomstein was part of a relief mission to help the earthquake victims in Haiti in 2010. In a five-day period, the team of eight orthopaedic surgeons operated on over fifty patients who survived the earthquake. The surgical team was able to perform numerous surgeries to restore the patients to an independent level of functioning.

Dr. Bloomstein completed a second Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the specialty of Foot & Ankle. He shadowed several pioneers in Total Ankle Replacement and other joint sparing surgeries in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders. About Steven Friedel, MD

Prior to joining Orthocenter Dr. Friedel boasted an impressive 19-year career as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the United States Army.

Dr. Friedel completed his undergraduate degree at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Following graduation, he then studied at Uniformed Services University School of Medicine in Bethesda, MD where he earned his Medical Degree.

After receiving his Medical Degree, Dr. Friedel completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado.

Dr. Friedel’s work as an Army Surgeon has been well decorated. Douglas Navasartian, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Orthocenter, which has locations in Red Bank, Morganville, Eatontown, and Holmdel, New Jersey. He has completed subspecialty fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine. 

Dr. Navasartian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general biology and a Master of Science degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Navasartian then completed medical school at the State University of New York in Stony Brook. Following medical school, he completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey, one of the oldest residency programs in the state. Through his residency, he spent time training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as UMDNJ Newark. This allowed him to obtain well-rounded training in numerous aspects of orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Navasartian then went on to complete subspecialty fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. During his fellowship, he was trained by one of the pioneers and founders of modern shoulder arthroscopy, Dr. Stephen Burkhart, MD. Dr. Burkhart invented many of the tools and techniques used in shoulder arthroscopy, and Dr. Navasartian is proud to have had him as a mentor. About Robert Borzio, MD

Dr. Costa is a Jersey guy. He earned his bachelor’s degree and graduated with honors from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He went on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark for his Medical Degree and stayed there for his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. Pursuing his desire to specialize, Dr. Costa completed a Fellowship in Adult Orthopaedic Reconstruction at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, FL before moving back to New Jersey to practice near his family.

Dr. Costa is an extremely efficient and precise surgeon with one of the highest volume practices in New Jersey. He performs over 700 total knee and hip replacements a year, placing him in the top 2-3% of Orthopaedic Surgeons in the country.

Dr. Costa specializes in Direct Anterior Hip Replacement and minimally invasive knee replacement. The Direct Anterior Hip Approach is the only true inter-nervous and inter-muscular interval to the hip. As such, less cutting can mean faster mobilization. The same applies to knee replacement. Keith Crivello, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon with advanced specialty training in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery.

Dr. Crivello was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, but grew up on Long Island, New York. He attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in international relations and a minor in chemistry.

Before attending medical school, he taught chemistry at Cathedral High School in New York City. He graduated from Boston University School of Medicine, where he was involved with scientific and clinical research with the Departments of General and Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Crivello completed his internship and residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. More was high school valedictorian and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he earned his medical degree, completed his residency, and also did a fellowship in joint replacement. Next, he participated in a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, and underwent advanced training in Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation and the J & J DePuy Attune© knee replacement.

Eric Gordon, MD, boasts a strong work ethic, expert training, and a compassionate bedside manner while serving patients throughout the Flemington and Bridgewater, New Jersey, communities. Through his work with the team at MidJersey Orthopaedics, Dr. Gordon focuses on total knee replacements, partial knee replacements, total hip replacements, and more. 

Dr. Gordon attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, for his undergraduate studies. He moved on to Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City for medical school. After graduation, Dr. Gordon completed his residency training at New York Orthopedic Hospital and New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in Manhattan, New York. He then underwent additional fellowship training in adult reconstruction at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Lenox Hill Hospital also located in Manhattan. 

Dr. Gordon is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gordon holds a faculty appointment at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey.
