She served as Chief of Quality and held the Lang Family Endowed Chair in Orthopaedic Research at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Before that, she served as program Director of the Orthopaedic Residency Training Program at HCA Florida JFK/ University of MIAMI.
SDr. Sabesan was a founding member of WMU Homer Stryker School of Medicine where she served as the chair of the musculoskeletal course at the medical school and co-chair of the next US Bone and Joint Initiative program to improve musculoskeletal education in medical schools. She has mentored over 150 medical students and residents. She is committed to educating and training the next generation of orthopedic surgeons and is passionate about increasing diversity in her field.
Dr. Sabesan is passionate about research and leadership in her Orthopedic community. She has published over 105 articles in the peer reviewed literature and has served on a number of regional, national, and international committees and boards, including the Florida Orthopaedic Society Board and program chair, American Shoulder and Elbow Society Research and Advocacy committees, AAOS Shoulder and Elbow Committee, International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty Board, Michigan Orthopedic Society Board, Mid America Orthopaedic Society, and American Orthopedic Association (AOA) Emerging Leaders program.
FDr. Sabesan’s commitment to service extends beyond her role as female faculty member through her national work with Women’s Leadership programs, RJOS, and medical mission work. Dr. Sabesan’s contributions to the peer reviewed literature with over 105 publications demonstrates her continued commitment to excellence in clinical and biomechanical research. She lectures both nationally and internationally in her area of expertise. Dr. Sabesan has received numerous honors including the Lang Family Chair in Orthopaedic Research, Young Investigator Grant recipient, Scholar of the year at CCF Florida, RJOS traveling fellowship, MidAmerica Orthopaedic Association traveling fellowship, OREF Clinician Scientist grant, American Orthopaedic Association’s Leadership Fellows Program, and awarded the Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship.

Drew A. Stein, MD, treats all types of orthopedic injuries with a specialty in sports medicine, at his practice in Boca Raton, Florida . Sports medicine injuries include shoulder dislocations, shoulder separations, shoulder instability, shoulder rotator cuff tears, shoulder biceps injuries, shoulder labral injuries, elbow biceps, and triceps injuries, knee ligament or cartilage tears, knee osteochondral defects, ankle ligament, and tendon injuries.
Dr. Stein specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle. This includes arthroscopic shoulder rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs, and shoulder stabilization procedures. After completing his undergraduate training at Boston University, where he graduated with honors studying physical therapy, Dr. Stein earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with honors in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed an internal medicine internship at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and a general surgery internship at New York University Medical Center.
Dr. Stein completed his orthopedic residency training at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. While at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, he was honored with the chief resident responsibilities for the residency program.
Next, Dr. Stein did a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Pennsylvania with mentors that included Dr. Arthur Bartolozzi, Dr. Craig Morgan, and Dr. Brian Sennett. During his fellowship, Dr. Stein participated in sports medicine care with several professional sports teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Flyers, and Philadelphia Kixx. He was the in-house team physician at the 2001 and 2002 summer training camps for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Dr. Stein was on the teaching faculty at New York University Langone Medical Center as an assistant clinical professor and teaches residents in the operating room. He also is on the assistant faculty for national education for the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and assists in teaching surgical skills to residents from around the country. He was on national committees for the AANA.
Dr. Stein is also involved in industry consulting to assist companies with the development of specific surgical equipment prior to public release. This involves working with industry engineers and cadaver surgery to improve operating room equipment designs for orthopedic sports medicine surgeons.

Steven D. Lasser, MD, FAAOS joined the Spine Solutions team, part-time in 2016. He previously worked in a busy spine practice in Rochester, New York region for 27 years before retiring for the first time in 2015. The opportunity provided by Spine Solutions ended his brief retirement. His joy of treting patients and high-quality care provided by Spine Solutions keeps him working. Dr. Lasser lives with his wife, Kathy, in Pompano Beach.

Joe is originally from East Texas and graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston. He initially worked in Occupational Medicine near the refineries around Lake Jackson, TX. After that his focus was general Orthopedic medicine in the Houston area at Koshman Orthopedics and KSF Orthopedics and then with Trinity Mother Francis Orthopedics in Tyler, TX. He then gained experience in Orthopedic Trauma at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, one of only twenty Level I Trauma Centers in Texas. After that he worked in Amarillo where he was the primary provider in a PA run Orthopedic Urgent Care clinic for 12 years before moving to Florida. At that time he began working with an upper extremity specialist.
