“Front desk personnel were wonderful and clear. Dr Masson was very rushed, and a poor listener. After spending a half hour describing my pain on paper, he rushed in and said “where does it hurt?” When I tried to explain it doesn’t hurt all the time he repeated the question. He took the clean urine specimen cup I hadn’t had time to use and threw it in the wastebasket and said “ I don’t need that - I’m the boss here” - Then he said if I wanted an injection for pain I should make an appointment now because he was in demand and not available on short notice, and I could cancel if I decided not to get it. I never mind waiting on doctors because I think it means they are taking the time they need with their patients. I waited for only about 15 minutes but he spent only about 5 minutes with me. I just need someone with more empathy, listening skills, and better bedside manner.”
