Double board-certified anesthesiologist Jan Slezak, MD, FIPP, DABIPP, is a pain management specialist who has particular expertise in the interventional management of spinal pain. Dr. Slezak provides services for men and women at the Barrington, Rye, and Gilford, New Hampshire offices of Interventional Spine Medicine.
Dr. Slezak graduated summa cum laude from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, in 1986. After completing his medical degree, he undertook a general surgery residency at the National Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases at the University Hospital in Bratislava. Dr. Slezak also underwent specialized training in cardiac and vascular surgery and is a board-certified surgeon in the Slovak Republic.
When Dr. Slezak moved to the United States, he continued his training with an internship and residency in anesthesia at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. In 1997, Dr. Slezak completed a fellowship in pain management at Massachusetts General Hospital, part of Harvard Medical School, in Boston. He joined the staff of Massachusetts General Hospital’s Pain Center, where he spent many years as a consultant. During this time, Dr. Slezak also began seeing patients at Interventional Spine Medicine.
Dr. Slezak holds board certifications in pain management and anesthesiology. He’s a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) medical acupuncture program and was the medical director and principal investigator for the Northeast Pain Research Center in Barrington, New Hampshire. Dr. Slezak has had numerous peer-reviewed articles published in respected medical journals covering subjects such as heart research, molecular biology, and pain medicine.
Manuel G. Sanchez, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician at Pain Specialty Group in Newmarket and Newington, New Hampshire. He has been a pillar in providing comprehensive pain care in New Hampshire for over 30 years and is highly respected and sought out for his services.
Dr. Sanchez utilizes a wide range of approaches and techniques to provide pain relief, including interventional procedures, medication management, innovative therapies, and holistic approaches.
Dr. Sanchez emigrated to the Americas from Spain as a child and earned his Doctor of Medicine at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City, graduating summa cum laude at the top of his class. He went on to complete his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Toronto Hospitals in Canada, rising to the ranks of Chief Resident, where he remained to complete his subspecialty fellowship training in cardiac anesthesiology and then joined the medical school faculty.
After serving as a faculty lecturer at the University of Toronto School of Medicine and as aneducational leader in pain management, Dr. Sanchez relocated to the New Hampshire Seacoast in 1989, and he has been providing innovative andcomprehensive interventional pain management ever since.
Devoted to his career, Dr. Sanchez is board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Anesthesiology, the American Board of Anesthesiology, and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He’s also a member of many professional organizations, including the Ontario Medical Association, New England Pain Association, New Hampshire Medical Society, and Rockingham County Medical Association. Dr. Sanchez has also published in multiple academic journals, nationally and internationally.
