Byrne L. Solberg, M.D. is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Following his residency, Dr. Rodriguez started his private practice. He also served as Assistant Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Director of Physical Medicine Services for the Skilled Nursing Facility of the Presbyterian Medical Center for five years, while also serving as Associate Clinical Professor within the Department of Internal Medicine of the HUP system for five years.

In addition, Dr. Rodriguez served as Medical Director of the Acupuncture Drug Detoxification Research Program of Philadelphia for one year, founder and elected Chairman of the North Philadelphia Health System’s first Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for three years, and taught podiatry residents from the Podiatry College of Philadelphia. During that time he held admitting and consulting privileges at six Philadelphia area hospitals.

In 1997, Dr. Rodriguez began to devote his time to private office practice. He has kept his focus on patients, science, and technology by adding MRI, Ultrasound, Lasers, and autologous stem cell treatment services. Dr. Selorm Takyi joined Revive Spine and Pain Center in 2020. He completed his physiatry residency at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, offered through the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. With a passion for teaching, he served as an academic chief resident and graduated residency in 2019. He then completed his fellowship in regenerative orthopedics and musculoskeletal medicine.

Dr. Takyi practices compassionate medicine and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in 2014 while attending Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Specializing in both ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopic-guided techniques to treat pain and sports medicine injuries, he is excited to share his goal of using non-surgical procedures to help restore function and quality of life to his patients. With his training in physiatry, Dr. Takyi enjoys creating comprehensive treatment plans for his patients. Mahmud Ibrahim, MD, at Revive Spine and Pain Center Marlton, Hamilton Township, East Brunswick and Northfield, New Jersey, holds dual board certification in sports medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation and is fellowship trained in interventional pain management.

When treating patients at Revive Spine and Pain Center, his goal is to restore function, reduce pain, and promote an active, healthy lifestyle using conservative measures whenever possible.

Michael Rizkalla, MD, a skilled physician with double-board certification in sports medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation, founded Revive Spine and Pain Center in 2017. Dr. Jung is originally from the New York metro area. He graduated from the State University of New York Binghamton University before completing his medical education at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, in 2010.

He began his medical career as a neurosurgical resident at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. After completing multiple years of training, Dr. Jung realized that, unfortunately, many patients continued to have chronic pain despite surgery, and during his time there, he became exposed to chronic pain management under the tutelage of Dr. Andrew Kaufman.  

After seeing the positive and life-changing impact of helping someone alleviate chronic pain, he decided to pursue a career in pain management. Therefore, he made a career move and began his anesthesia training at the Westchester Medical Center. Upon completing his residency, he began his pain management fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. After completing his fellowship in 2016, he became an attending physician at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania. While there, he was in charge of the neuromodulation program and the intrathecal pump program. With the use of intrathecal drug delivery, Dr. Jung was able to get patients off oral opioids while continuing to treat patients who required opioids in a safe, controlled manner that was physician-controlled.

He is double board-certified in anesthesia and pain management. Because of his neurosurgical background, he brings a unique skill set not found in most pain management physicians to SEPA Pain & Spine.  He believes that every patient’s pain is unique and that treatment plans should be catered to the patient’s needs. Sanjay Shah, MD, is a pain management physician at SEPA Pain & Spine in Horsham, Langhorne, and Chalfont, Pennsylvania. He joined the team in 2006.

Dr. Shah earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and his medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico. He then completed his residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in pain management, both at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

He is a pain management physician who specializes in treating debilitating and painful conditions through various interventional orthopedic therapies. His philosophy for treating patients is based on staying current with the latest pain management, minimally invasive spine surgery, and regenerative techniques so he can provide the best possible care for his patients.

Dr. Shah is dual board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology with a subspecialty certification in pain medicine. Jeremy Jaffe, MD, is a pain management physician at SEPA Pain & Spine in Horsham, Langhorne, and Chalfont, Pennsylvania. Dr. Jaffe joined the team in 1996. 

Since then, he has gained a reputation as a patient listener and effective communicator while providing a thoughtful, considerate, compassionate and comprehensive approach toward chronic pain management. He enjoys the challenge of first establishing each patient's primary pain generator and then creating an individualized multimodal approach to reduce pain and improve quality of life.

Dr. Jaffe's areas of subspecialty interest include mechanical low back pain and opioid dependence counseling and treatment. Dr. Jaffe is also a registered provider of medical marijuana certification in Pennsylvania. He spent over 20 years helping to train medical students and anesthesia residents in his capacity as Director of Medical Education for United Anesthesia Services-Abington Division. Dr. Jaffe currently serves as Vice President and Director of Human Resources for SEPA Pain Management.

He is a graduate of Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania. Dr. Jaffe received his medical school training at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. After completing an internship at Abington Hospital, he completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where the majority of his subspecialty training was devoted to pain management.

When not helping patients, Dr. Jaffe devotes a great deal of time to charitable causes, including his annual participation as co-chair for Rockin’ Docs for Diabetes Cure. His other interests include drumming, bicycling, playing tennis, and traveling.

Patrick Fall, DO, is a pain management physician at SEPA Pain & Spine in Horsham, Langhorne, and Chalfont, Pennsylvania. Dr. Fall joined the team in 2006. 

Dr. Fall grew up in central Pennsylvania and received his Bachelor of Science from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He received a Master of Science with an emphasis in biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. 

Dr. Fall moved to the Philadelphia area in 1997 and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, followed by a fellowship in pain medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and The Jefferson Pain Center. 

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and is dual-certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine. Dr. Fall obtained certification in Suboxone® therapy in 2014 and is certified by the state of Pennsylvania to register patients in the medical marijuana program.

Marlyn Alvarado, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Union Spine and Pain Management. Philip M. Rojo, MLP-NP, is a highly skilled nurse practitioner passionate about delivering customized care. Through his work at Union Spine and Pain Management, which has offices in Union, Scotch Plains, South Bound Brook, New Brunswick, Old Bridge, and Woodbridge, New Jersey, Philip helps patients feel more comfortable as they progress in treatment.
