As a registered physical therapist at Precision Rehab Occupational Physical & Hand Therapy, Jose Jonathan Cancino, RPT (known as JJ), provides exceptional physical therapy services for patients at the practice's offices in the Fresh Meadows area in Queens, New York City, and Little Neck, New York.

JJ received his bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA in Las Piñas City in the Philippines, graduating with honors. After passing the United States boards in 1996, JJ began his career at AdventHealth Orlando in Florida. Since that time, he has worked in various clinical settings, including acute, sub-acute, and rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient orthopedics, skilled nursing facilities, and nursing homes in Lake Placid, Sebring, and Wauchula, Florida, gaining more than 15 years of experience.

JJ feels passionate about helping people regain movement and full function to attain their goals, and he aims to encourage his patients to be self-reliant. Dr. Kothari grew up in northern New Jersey, where his family still resides. He was accepted into an accelerated seven-year medical program directly from high school. He completed his undergraduate studies in three years at the New York Institute of Technology and then went on for his medical schooling at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. 

He completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, where he served as chief resident in his final year.
